You know Mr D.O.G. already, if not where the hell you been? In this second interview Mr D.O.G. reveals what’s forthcoming from his label Bow Wow Records, reflects on his tour of Australia and reveals his plans to come to South Africa this year to perform!

Mr D.O.G.

Hi there man, it’s been real good watching you move like you have been doing in the NW and beyond. That single My Knoccs featuring E40 is off the hizook. And that Take It Off featuring Mac Money is so damn catchy I can’t get it out of my head. Now for Bow Wow, your label, I’d like to know what fans can expect for this year. When’s that brand new Mr DOG coming out?

Answer: Well I have decided to spread the love in 2002. I will be sitting in the back seat to introduce my artists, Mac Money, and Big Squeeze to the world. We will be dropping the Mac Money single, “Just Dippin” on March 3rd, and the entire album, “Tales of a G” on Apr. 23rd. The Big Squeeze album is set to come out in July 2002. And will be more like a compilation since he just produces. I’m still working on my new album, Diabolical Deeds and Street Luv, and it promises to be the best solo album that I have put together to date. It won’t be available until Apr. 2003 though. But to all my fans, stand strong, I will be featured on both my artist’s albums as well as several other albums and mix tapes from the U.S. to Africa to Australia.

Man you’ve got to tell us about Australia! Where in Aussie land did you perform, what was the crowd like? What did you think of the scene down there? And lastly how did that all get set up?

Australia was off the hook! Straight bananas…I gotta get back soon. Yo much love to Letter G for bringing me family! I performed at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia. The building was a multimillion dollar construction with multiple floors and screens all over to show you the elaborate stage. The crowd was overly supportive and my music was well received. I made a big impact on the Sydney hip hop market! Again, can’t wait to get back.

Since we on the subject of touring, can we tell us what options you looking at for this year?

Yeah, plenty of radio and magazine interviews, in-stores, and the regular PR (public relations) activities. I will be doing a tour with my label throughout the Northwest, in fact I’m in the middle of one now. This is a short tour and includes 8 cities in the NW region. I’m also in the middle of politicing a 2 show deal in your home land, Africa. The cities are Johannesburg, and Capetown. Mac Money and I will be attending the Impact Music Super Summit 16 this spring, and we are also in the midst of solidifying shows in Vancouver, Canada, and again in Sydney, Australia.

Can you tell us what we can expect this year from label mates Mac Money and Big Squeeze.

Heat, heat, and more heat. Mac Money has a bonified delivery that is sure to entrap his listeners. His songs vast from topics on religion, to politics, to everyday life, to his opinions on various situations. Also featured on his album is Yukmouth of the Luniz, for the second single, “Bosses will be Bosses”. He has already been compared to Tupac, Jayo Felony, and W.C. of Ice Cube’s West Side Connection. Big Squeeze will bring heat on his album too. Fully equipped with an almost completely new studio and equipment he is putting out tracks like it’s nothing. His album will feature big names in the NW as well as names from California. We have a few tracks with some big names but don’t want to release them because all the paperwork hasn’t been finalized.

How are things going there locally in your area?

Pimp-tastic! The love has really been flowing through since the dawning of 2002. We are doing about 5-7 shows, 3-4 interviews in magazines and radio, per month and getting a large amount of fan mail via the internet. We have just put our MP3 sites up at the beginning of January and I’m already averaging about 700+ downloads a month. (Wait until we start promoting them)

I heard you were there at NW Radio with Azarel.

Yeah, One luv to my ninja Azarel for loving me up on his show. He interviewed me about a week ago, live. We’ve known each other for over a decade. Hopefully in the future, we can get together and do a track for the masses to endulge. Also, Mac Money’s interview will be interviewing soon on there too. Keep on the look out for that, so that Mac can give you an in depth look at life through his eyes.

Thanks man for talking to us. Any last words you’d like to leave us at this time?
