Trilogy Records first came into being at WXJM 88.7, the college radio of James Madison in Harrisonburg, VA. At that point a group of friends, all interested in the music business and in love with Hip-Hop, got together and decided to “do something” as a collective unit before they all graduated. In the fall of 1999, Trilogy became official. J.J. Jensen, Kevin McConnell, and Dave Morrissy put together their love, knowledge, and a little cash to incorporate Trilogy Records.

Doujah Raze was born in the Nation’s Capitol, and raised just outside of it in Alexandria, VA. At a young age he began molding himself into the Lyricist/Producer that he is today. Doujah got involved in Hip Hop early, immersing himself in the culture, and studying the music thoroughly. Inspired by his Grandfather, songwriter and dancer Samuel Lipton, Doujah began writing both his own lyrics and music, and with his grandfather’s assistance, Doujah grew up learning to play the piano and the guitar.
