(1) showcase local talent

(2) compete in breakdancing, rapping, dj’ing, spraycan art hosted Since 1997. Funded by the arts forum of the city of cape town.

(3) this year will see the live performance and recording of a music Video by local artists. Come and support and get onto the music Video being shot for tv.

(4) release and sale of 3 heal the hood compilation cds containing Local hip hop artists. Local clothing labels will be launched and Hip hop products will be on sale

(5) black noise & other artists will perform before they leave for Sweden for 2 months. Prizes for the best at each element will be Given on the night.

Date:- 22nd february 2002
Venue:- podium hall,
cape town civic centre
cape town – big building on the right of the train station as you enter city on m5
Entry:- R30 whole day, R20 just for night or R5 per workshop
Time:- 15h00 – 20hoo breakdance, rap, dj, capoeira workshops…
14h00 – 01h00 breakdance, mc, dj, blackbook Competition ….

All funds will go back into recording and releasing the next cd, magazine And the heal the hood tour.
So come and support this cities youth empower themselves, using their talent To make an income and keeping positive acitivities happening for them.
