BLACK CIRCLE set to release forthcoming debut album

26 February 2003 No Comment

The circle represents infinity…thus the science behind the emerging rap collective, BLACK CIRCLE arriving just in the nick of time to complete the cipher universally known as Hiphop. Representing the Washington DC and Maryland area, BLACK CIRCLE consists of 14 year veteran CEO and Executive Producer, Lawrence “Bugsy” Vereen , Theodore Vereen AKA “Black Talon”, Dequane Bogaan AKA ‘Lil Scoot”, and Bemon Bowman AKA ‘Die Slizow’.

Scheduled for May 27, 2003 release, BLACK CIRCLE’s highly anticipated debut album, “Armageddon” (Round Table Records/ OMD-Orpheus) promises not to disappoint the masses. Their influences range from The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem, Juvenile, Scarface, and Rakim. As today’s climate dictates that being independent is certainly the way to go, smaller labels are regaining control of the industry. “As an indie, I have total control of what’s going down with my project, plus I own all my material.” says Bugsy.

BLACK CIRCLE describes the recording process of “Armageddon” as “an adventure” clearly evident in the varied styles of rap delivered on the full length LP. Each member brings an entirely diverse element on the mic forming the tight-knit group known as BLACK CIRCLE. The album features an appearance from original Cash Money Millionaire, Juvenile (featured on the exclusive remix to “Wanna Do Wright.”)

”Nothing is gonna stand in our way,” says Bugsy, “We are taking over.” He goes on to explain, “We titled the album “Armageddon” because when it’s our turn…it’s all over… just like the final conflict between the forces of good and evil.”
