The Mindstate’s State of Mind: REVOLUTION

16 June 2003 No Comment

My article aims at letting all dem massive and crew about the status quo of hip-hop in Lesotho (the little mountain kingdom totally encircled by S.A.)

It’s quite rough here, since not so many people are into the whole hip-hop mind state, but there are quite a couple of crew’s worth a mention. First of all I’ll start with my clique, the Deep Down Uhuru, consisting of eighteen members, sub-divided into three crews. We’ve established our concept, and are trying by all means (cyphers, shows, etc.) to let the people know, and revolutionize their States of Mind.

Secondly, there’s a crew (a whole legion!!) of emcees called the Christ Age (they change their name every time). As their name suggests, it’s all about Christ’s ministry; spreading the Gospel. They pretty tight, but I’m not so sure on their plans (keep you posted!).

There are individuals and the likes, and they’re all representing what they feel, whether real or garbage. On the beats, I know a lotta cats who are very good on production. Let me take you through the list:

El-kai: this cat is just ill like that, no gimmicks! His beats are straight up professional. (crew: DDU)

Gah Bless: hell yeah. the arrangement is simple, some drums, bass, and additional keys. still, the product will screw your mind up. his flow is ill too, quite gifted. (crew: DDU)

Frozen Slosh: Whoooa! I started rhymin’ over his beats. Melody, that’s all I can say, pure melody. The beats will caress your inner self, and purify whateva lies impure inside you.

Delta Freak: well, there’s pretty nothing much to say, except that ummmm… damn man! this brotha is ill, too (crew: Hypnotica)

There’s a lotta ’em (emceez/producers) still remaining, and I’ll keep y’all posted, only if these people post this article for y’all to see. If they do, please give me feedback on the FORUM. Enjoy!
