Hailing from the Rocky Mountains they did not go over the mountain with their delivery they went straight through it and unleashed a release on Basementalism Records titled “As Iron Sharpens Iron”. Check the album cover a mic covered with some fertile ground – what could that mean? I digged around the ground and caused somewhat of a earthquake but what the heck Cali is known for is it’s quakes and this group is one of them that’s making the Richter scale go haywire. Check the interview I did with them.

(New York) Over the past few years, music industry moguls such as Sean “P-Piddy” Combs and Jay-Z have strutted through music videos wearing remakes of football and basketball jerseys worn by famous sports icons of the past. Husband and wife team, Rodney and Knia Bonds have discovered a way to honor the legends of Hiphop with the debut of their brand new streetwear clothing line RTB Apparel and its’ inaugural product titled Rap Throwbacks. I’m Skebza, member of Hipnotica (a 4 man Lesotho hip hop group) and I would like to mention that we also have hip hop heads here. Hipnotica recently released a 12 track Ep that I’ll soon send to AG. I believe in the unity of crews to elevate African hip hop and hopefully with the assistance of such people like you all nations will receive the recognition they deserve in hip hop. With many unsigned Lesotho and Freestate (OFS – SA) rappers bringing out CD’s I believe that something should be done to help these artists progress in hiphop. frozenslosh@yahoo.com

Today, Hip-Hop culture dictates trends in everything from fashion and advertising to literature, film and theatre. In the 70s, gifted youth with a lot of imagination forged a new style of music from spare parts. Emceeing was a product of pure streetwise ingenuity, extracting rhythms and melodies from existing records and mixing them up with searing poetry chronicling life as they experienced it. Some emcees spread positive messages and lessons from their hearts while others rhyme about money, sex and drugs, incorporating the good and bad times that surround their existence.
