Black Noise have completed a DVD that serves to answer many questions youth have about hip hop culture. The DVD contains instructional hip hop how to footage. Many youth throughout the country and internationally have been taught the basics and history of hip hop culture by Black Noise over the years and this collection of “Hip Hop How to” volumes aims to supply youth with information about the various elements of hip hop as well as its history and founders that need to be given the respect they deserve.

This is to inform you cats that the exhibition has been extended to 07 April 2004, due to the incredible support of Durban heads. The closing party is also moved to Sunday 04 April and the entrance fee is reduced to R20-00. The graffiti battle will be on from 6pm. Scattered Brain, Microphonic Tongues will turn the heat on and deejays will make you break your neck. I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. – Miracle

The duo have spent the last year consolidating their experience and equipment and have finally reached operational status. SPLASHY FEN 2004 in conjunction with CASTLE INQABA HIPHOP is introducing a new event at the annual festival this year. The stage will be launched for the first time at SF2004 and features a host of KZN HipHop groups including ILLUMINATING SHADOWS, JUVENILE 031, THE NOMADS and MAESTRO FAMILY, as well as a series of other solo artists. The stage will also play host to freestyle sessions, CD selekting and vinyl spinning with local DJ’s and emcees getting there chance to access the soundwaves.

Graffiti Art Exhibition at the BAT Centre in Durban featuring Durban graff heads. The exhibition will open on Thursday 25 March and will close with a party on Saturday April 03, 2004. Many of you probably heard off this emcee, he started writing at the age of 9 producing beats in a studio at age 12 and he has performed with the likes of DJ BlowOut, Meddafore, Stronghold, KRS-ONE, Cunningyinguists, Masta Ace, DJ JS-1, Archetype, Immortal Technique, Poison Pen, Pumpkin head, Session, Dead Prez, Wordsworth, Cocoa Brovas, Rahzel, Beatnuts, Jungle brothers, Brand Nubian, Bad Seed, PackFM, Substancial, Kameel-Yen, Hydra, DP-One and Mecca. Born in a military hospital in South America, Immortal Technique was brought to the United States in the early 80’s while a civil war was breaking out in his native Peru. The puppet democracy supported by the US and rebel group known as the Shining path were wrapped in a huge armed conflict which like all others in Latin America ended with the economic and military aid of the State Dept. through channels like the CIA. Although he escaped the struggle and turmoil of a life in the 3rd world, Immortal Technique now resided in Harlem which had it’s own share of drama.
