Baphixile is poised to unleash yet another banger this year. After taking a break from the music scene since the release of their 2000 offering Kasiology, Prof and Blax Myth teamed with some heavyweights to bring you their long awaited album APESAM BAKWADZ-3rd STRYK.

Their 12 track album boasts production skills of producers like Iggy Smallz, Jay, Battle Cat, Thaso, Mahoota, and Revolution. Described as a “typical but yet progressive sounding Baphixile” the album features load of feel good tracks aimed at spicing up any respecting party with a few of potentially anthemic tunes aimed at ciphers and the true hip hop head!

With guest artists like: Hip Hop Pantsula, Pretoria crooners Khalil, Twistyle, Jay and Theo ( Boom Shaka ) the album’s well rounded, balanced and promises to cater to most musical genres with a heavy emphasis on South African Hip Hop. With MC’s Prof and Blax Myth uniquely being hip hop a few battle Rhymes Like: Rokkaz, Stop and Roll, Direpe, Squad in charge and 2Lang.

The name BAPHIXILE is Phoenician version of Setswana word “Bafitlhile” which loosely translate to: “They Have Arrived”. The album is poised to rock the South African Hip- Hop landscape for years to come
