The First Case Alliance was established in 1998 with an astonishing membership of eight(8) soldiers. These youths have risen from the dusty and sandy streets of the infamous Khayelistha Township (Cape Town, South Africa). They have collaborated and engaged through Poetry and the Visual Arts to depict and tell stories of their immediate environments. These stories are told through rhymes and music which has inspired many. Gradually the members have drastically decreased to four(4) because most of the soldiers took different paths in life as they grew older but the legacy of the First Case Dynasty still remains. They have been blessing audiences with vibrant appearances in both the townships and the suburbs and still continue to do so with extreme consistency.
