On 27 November 2004 musical diversity and culture will unite to bring you GLO. The first of a new Day/ Night Music Festival series. The festival will be hosted at Tempo’s Sunset Beach and Entertainment Park and features an array of entertainment- which will include 10 Live Bands and 33 top South African DJ’s…

The logistics of the days events have been carefully planned to ensure that the atmosphere in each of the arenas is maximised.

Arena 1

The Battle of the Bands Final, brought to you by RP STUDIOS EMERGING SOUNDS, will be kicking off the day with seven bands competing head to head for this coveted title. Unfortunately as the competition is still in progress we are unable to publish the names of the seven bands performing.

This will be followed by Hip Hop DJ’s from 7pm. Hosted by former Battle of the DJ’s winner DJ REDWOOD, the line-up includes DJ Nifte, the legendry Ready D, William Nova and Redwood himself. Closing off the floor will be non other than MPI Project and DJ Syndrome. 

Area 2 

The GLO-TECH AFRICA FLOOR showcasing all of the GLO-TECH artistes which include Andre Supra, Allen Sine, 360 degrees , Ryan Sullivan, Stephen Mare, JP Elliot, Munro, Hans von Burg, Jasper Williams and Ivan Kenny.

Area 3

The Main Stage will be featuring Supernatural, Fuzigish, 16Stitch.The bands will be followed by Tempo’s resident duo Carlos and Tony, playing commercial pop and R&B hits.

Area 4 a.k.a “the beach “

Here you will be seduced by the deeper, funky house of these top South African spinners. Insulin Boy, Amanda, Brett Jackson, Ricardo, Craig de Sousa and Mark Parish. The beach opens up at midday, so be sure to bring your latest Italian eyewear, boardshorts and bikini’s !

Area 5 – the “Lapa”

A gradual build up from Funk to Hard House and trance will be delivered by the likes of DJ’s Steve SoRel, Ru, Small Paul, Sancho Serano, Stuart Hillary, Spiro, and Dizzy .
