Afrikaans Hip Hop group Kallitz will be guests on YFM tomorrow, Tuesday, 2 November 2004 at 15:40. YFM will interview the band and play the hit single ‘die ding ruk mal’, making this Kallitz’ first Johannesburg appearance.

Alexander Gregori of Kallitz’ label Mothermix Records explains: “We structured our marketing campaign in stages, concentrating on the Western Cape first. I think Kallitz have done a good job and the impact here was incredible. This caused a ripple effect, with increasing interest in Kallitz being shown by Johannesburg media and the public. We are now ready to visit Jozi. I think this is the first time that YFM are featuring a Kombuis-Afrikaans Hip Hop group, which further entrenches the radio station’s image of being an innovative industry leader.”

Kallitz will be on an extended stay in Johannesburg later this month, with live appearances on ETV’s Morning Edition and Channel O’s Hola on Friday, 19 November 2004.

Kallitz will also be back on YFM and shoot an episode with Desmond Dube for his show, to be screened in December 2004.
