Fans from Germany to Japan are listening to the likes of Nelly and 50 Cent, as well as their own home-grown artists who rap in the local vernacular. In South Africa, for instance, the big hip hop name is "Pitch Black Afro," a man with an enormous presence and a hairdo to match."
