(October 28, 2010 – Brooklyn, NY) Bay Area rapper Erk Tha Jerk is proud to announce the release Nerd’s Eye View. The album, which serves as the official debut for Erk, who also produces and directs videos for himself and others, will be released November 9th as a joint venture between Bay Area staple SMC Recordings and Erk’s own label Red Planet Music Group.

Hieroglyphics member and Oakland native Casual releases a video for “Rock My Shit” from his upcoming album He Still Think He Raw produced by DJ Fresh. From the get go the camera focuses on Casual and his car, alternating between the engine, Casual’s toothpick and screeching tires. The song breathes Bay Area from its snappy bass drums to drifting electronic snowflakes and echoing synths. Not to be overshadowed by DJ Fresh’s efforts behind the boards, though, Casual is a true tour de force on the mic. “This album is full of braggadocio, which at my age seems immature,” says Casual.

To celebrate a recent successful CMJ showing, Moe Green has decided to release the mp3 to “Iced Out Lifestyle,” the first release from his forthcoming soon-to-be-titled EP, presented by OnSmash.com. Along with the song, Moe is giving fans that missed CMJ a chance to check out one of his many performances throughout the week, as Distortion2Static caught Moe Green performing alongside labelmate TRUTHLiVE for the track “Ready Set Go” from TRUTHLiVE’s latest album, Patience.

Native Cali rapper, producer, and founder of the group Deep Rooted, Mr. Brady is back with his latest solo album, Labor Of Love. The album is exactly what its title implies; fifteen energized tracks delivering Brady’s raw persona and featuring some of the best of what underground hip-hop has to offer. Part of what makes Labor of Love so special is Mr. Brady’s personal touch as the album’s main producer, “I usually do all my production myself,” says Brady. “There was no big studio involved in this project at all.

The wait is finally over. Boog Brown’s new album, Brown Study, is now available via Mello Music Group and addition to the album she has put out a new single to celebrate the release. For her latest, Boog injects the hip-hop world with a little dose of romance with the track “My Love.” Along with producer Apollo Brown, whose influence is felt throughout the entire album, Boog incorporated vocalist Poodie The Byz to accentuate the track’s vibe.

Today marks the release of Heaven Razah, the long-anticipated sophomore solo album from Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and former Sunz Of Man member Hell Razah, which means fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Initially slated for a spring release, the album was postponed indefinitely when Razah was admitted to the hospital last April with a health emergency.
