This Friday, DJ/Production duo Booty Fade are set to play the Gorilla Vs. Bear III Festival in their hometown of Dallas, Texas. This year’s Festival, held in the Granada Theater, also features Danny Brown, HAERTS, Empress Of, and Blue Hawaii. As a preview of this year’s show, Booty Fade have put together a nearly hour-long mix of all the artists in the lineup, plus a few others who are commonly featured on GorillaVsBear such as Glass Candy, Purity Ring, and Disclosure ft. AlunaGeorge.

Casual of the hip-hop supergroup Hieroglyphics has announced the start of his Clash Of The Titans tour with fellow legends of the late ’90’s, The Alkaholiks and Cali Agents.  These industry veterans will be bringing newcomers Cisum Tomorrow ft. Wes Nyle and S.B. Baby Cougnut & DJ Twelvz as openers.  Clash Of The Titans begins in Santa Cruz, CA on August 14th and concludes in New Orleans, LA on September 24th. Seattle rapper Nissim, whom you may have known as D. Black before he converted to Orthodox Judaism and changed his name, is preparing for the release of his upcoming self-titled album with the premiere of his video for “Live For Now.” The track, featuring dream pop duo Bonhom, emcompasses ethereal vocal pulses against tick tocky strings while Nissim raps about showing that you have the power to live a better life. As D. San Francisco rapper Roach Gigz premieres the visual for “It’s Lit” today on Stereogum.  The single, which dropped last month on SPIN, features production by Nima Fadavi and a guest appearance by Iamsu!. Directed by Robert O. Mojica and Rey Castillo, the video is the first from Roach since the release of his latest mixtape, Roachy Balboa III.

Seattle rappers Onry Ozzborn and JFK, together known as Grayskul, are soon releasing their new album Zenith, their first album with Fake Four Inc. The 18-track release features Aesop Rock, Raekwon, Solilla, Reva DeVito, and labelmate Terra Lopez of Sister Crayon. Production on the album is handled by Aesop, Smoke, Void Pedal, and Moodie Black, and the entire album was recorded with sound engineer Zebulon Dak.  Accompanying the album release is the new single, also named “Zenith.”

Working up to next week’s release of his new mixtape, Las Vegas rapper Dizzy Wright has just dropped the video for “The Flavor”.  The song features Funk Volume labelmate SwizZz and production by 6ix.  The video, directed by Armen Soudjian, shows Dizzy and SwizZz delivering their rhymes straight into the camera to give that up-close-and-personal feeling.  Dizzy’s highly-anticipated new mixtape The Golden Age will be released on August 19th exclusively through HotNewHipHop.
