A Texas Ranger (Tommy Lee Jones) must protect a group of cheerleaders who have witnessed a murder while not raising any attention to his presence so he has to pretend he is the assistant cheerleading coach with comedic consequences.
The trailer of MAN OF THE HOUSE gives the impression that it's a brain dead teen comedy and should be avoided at all costs when its pretty entertaining. Tommy Lee Jones is in a spoof of himself role from THE FUGITIVE and U.S. MARSHALLS like Robert De Niro did in ANALYZE THIS and ANALYZE THAT. It works pretty well though the movie tries to get as much exploitive value out the actresses playing the cheerleaders by having them wear skimpy clothing as often as possible. If you liked MISS CONGENIALITY and MISS CONGENIALITY 2 then MAN OF THE HOUSE could be you bag. It's light hearted fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously. So if you're have a slow Sunday then MAN OF THE HOUSE could make it more entertaining. CAST: Tommy Lee Jones, Cedric the Entertainer, Christina Milian, Paula Garces, Monica Keena, Vanessa Ferlito, Kelli Garner DIRECTOR: Stephen Herek RUNNING TIME: 99 minutes AGE RESTICTION: 10 V GENRE: Comedy RELEASE DATE: N/A RATING: 6/10 “Tommy Lee Jones' One Liners Make The Movie Fun” Buy this DVD Review by Punjabi_Goth for Africasgateway.com |
