A separated woman (Jennifer Connelly) caught in a bitter custody dispute moves into a run down apartment building with her daughter. Her problems compound when she and her daughter become the target of the ghost of a former resident.
For 98 minutes DARK WATER sure does drag and seems predictable until the end which has twist. It’s not a bad movie, it’s an okay film. It has a good cast, good actors, a good performance and a good story but the editor should get shot because the film could flow faster and the director too for messing up something interesting. If you’re looking for amazing you’re not going to find it here but if you want to be entertained and go home then it’s cool. “Drama sprinkled with some supernatural horror” CAST: Jennifer Connelly, Ariel Gade, Jennifer Baxter, Shelly Duval, Linda Edmond, John C. Reilly, Tim Roth and Dougray Scott DIRECTOR: Walter Salles RUNNING TIME: 98 Minutes AGE RESTRICTION: 13 GENRE: Thriller RELEASE DATE: 9 September 2005 RATING: 6/10 Buy DVD Review by Punjabi_Goth |
