Max is a 10 year old boy is an outcast and fills his lonely world with dreams when forced to spend his summer vacation alone. Only it turns out Max’s dreams are real and he has to save the world with his two creations Shark Boy and Lava Girl by stopping the evil Mr. Electric.
First of all this movie is made in 3-D which means you have to wear special 3-D glasses, not all the time but about half of the movie is in 3-D. This is kind of retro-trippy in its own right which adds to the fun. The best part of SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL is the valuable life lessons in it; it’s entertaining for the kids while it teaches them good values, very important ones at that too. The cool special effects are really cool, the funny bits are really funny, the make you feel fuzzy inside bits make you feel fuzzy and SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL totally rocks. Robert Rodriguez, the man’s talented what else can you say? If you got kids take them to go watch this they’ll be entertained and it will be a fun family outing. Then get a baby sitter for the evening and go watch SIN CITY and bask in how amazing a movie it is and then trip out on how it’s the same guy who made both the movies you watched and say: “The man’s talented what else can I say?” “A Modernised Version Of NEVER ENDING STORY For A New Generation” CAST: George Lopez, Taylor Lopez, Taylor Lautner, Cayden Boyd, David Arquette and Kristin Davis DIRECTOR: Robert Rodriguez RUNNING TIME: N/A AGE RESTRICTION: N/A GENRE: Family/Action/Adventure RELEASE DATE: 16 September 2005 RATING: 8/10 Buy DVD Review by Punjabi_Goth |
