A workshop featuring guests, Matt Allison (singer-songwriter and independent record label owner - matt-allison.com) and Grenville (Godessa) will be held on the 22nd of October at 'Music Connection', 65 Buitengracht Street, Cape Town. Read on for more details...
The workshop is aimed at anyone interested in learning the essentials for getting involved in independent music production in South Africa and will cover topics from the basic workings of the music industry to production tips and copyrighting your work.
Matt Allison will cover the ins and out of what is required in recording and releasing your own CD and give a brief overview of the various SA governing bodies along with covering topics like songwriting, recording, publishing, duplication and distribution. There will be time for a Q&A session so bring along your questions with you and he will try and answer them for you.
Entrance is free and the event will begin at 13h00.
