Space has been talking to famous people again and I bring to you a talented vocalist which we just heard on the new J-Zone album. I present to you Dick $tallion! He aint just another rapper but he's also the owner/editor of Flagrant magazine which has the illest chickens ever! So check this out and hear for yourself as to why you should look out for this dude.

So who exactly is Dick $tallion? Tell us a little bit about yourself

He is the pimp and spiritual advisor at Old Maid.

What's the difference between Brian Charles and Dick $tallion?

Who the hell is Brian Charles I heard he is a nerd or something but I never met that cat people always asking me about him.

The first time I heard you was on J-Zone's album, how did this come about? And when did you first get into contact with J-Zone?

Me and that fool go way back to college. I met him on my radio show because his was right before mine on Friday night. This was like '97. Then we met the next year when I was program director at SUNY Purchase. I was going to college part time and pimpin full time we got down I liked the way that cat pimps that music. Game recognizes game and that was it. We been macking in this music game since.

Do you see yourself with a career in rap/hip hop?

Not a career. I make more money pimpin and shit but it some fly shit to do you know.

The main reason why I wanted to do this interview was because of your site, www.flagrantmagazine.com (If you are under 18 or reading this interview on your work pc then don't click the link - you have been warned) this has got to be my favourite site at the moment! When did you start the site?

Like March of this year we launched but we had over a year in development previous to that.

What made you start the magazine?

Basically there is no one doing a mag like mine in for the urban market. The ones that are out there I feel don't speak to the urban experience as a whole. Either they only speak to black people are they are in tune with the rhythm of life. People who live in urban America are all different colors and have taste that extend beyond rap and basketball or the typical 10 ways to please your women. Flagrant goes beyond those things. Plus it gives me an opportunity to keep pimpin'.

The site has some really nice articles, are you also a writer?

Yeah I'm multitalented my first love beyond checkin hoes is radio because it gave me an opportunity to express myself. The magazine is a new challenge just like rap was a new challenge 4 years ago. Old Maid gives me a platform to launch this business and I appreciate Zone for that.

I agree with you as to your opinions on white girls with fat asses. So who has the best onion, Sisters or Becky's?

Sisters still got it but they now have a serious challenge.

So when can we expect the Gorilla-Pimp$ album?

We have one now called Hotter Than Fish Grease. But we didn't put it out in a major way. Our next record is called IHOP (International House of Pimpin) Probably December for that release. Then we got a double album with our greatest hits and unreleased stuff from the past three years called Mackelenium that comes out next Spring.

Where did you learn to sing so good?

In church man growing up in the church singin for the lord. Always loved that.

What are the women in New York like?

High Maintenance. Women in New York got Cristal taste and Old Milwaukee bodies.

What are you listening to lately?

Wow recently taken a break from rap. Listening to a lot of Shalamar, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Rufus, Barry White, Marvin Gaye Otis Redding just trying to get my singin style down so you got to listen to the classics.

So where do you get all those fine ass b**** that are on your site? What do they have to do to get some "fame"?

I meet them at the bus stop on the train and it rocks everywhere. You can come up on a fine bitch anywhere. No its mostly girls that answer ads and as the magazine gets more exposure more girls are down to be in it. At first it was hard.

Just say the first thing that comes your mind when you see/hear these words

Aids

Some foul shit that the black community mismanages because we do not openly discuss sexuality.

Al-Shid

The nastiest without a deal period

Backpackers

Soon they'll understand they got some growing up to do.

Golden Showers

Am I supposed to hit that afterwards?

Maternity

Beautiful.

St Ides Malt Liquor

Don't drink 8 ball cause St Ides is paying ends- (Ice Cube)

Nikki Nova

Who? (She's a porn goddess!)

Hip-Hop

Irrelevant in the classic sense now even the so-called underground acts care about points and soundscan and trust me no one is doing this strictly for the love.

Why should the people go out and check out flagrant magazine and look out for Gorilla Pimp$?

Because good entertainment is hard to find and that's what all this is entertainment and a little insight with the magazine. The album is strict fun and mackin. You'll enjoy it

This is your chance to pimp your enterprise and to drop some shout outs.

I would like to say thanks to J-Zone and D.J. Contackt for all there help and support and for being my friends. To Matt Rowland my designer, Claudia Robinson and Michelle Muniz on my street promotion team. Eric Jedi my photographer. Scott, Lap dance Larry and my whole writing staff.
