After the success of "From Tha Beatz 2 Tha Streetz", Stick Eight Entertainment shifted their focus toward the community. "Soup 4 Smilez" was the subsequent community initiative hosted at the Protea Recreation Centre in Bellville on the 31 August 2003. Says Community Project coordinator for Stick Eight Entertainment, Astrid Williams: "We had games for the kids like touch-rugby and soccer, after which we served them warm soup and bread. We then had a hip hop dancing competition and the winner went home with a brand new soccer ball. The kids had great fun and the whole day was a fulfilling experience and a great success."

After only 5 months since establishment, Stick Eight Entertainment will host "Locked & Loaded", a hip hop event held at the Bellville Shooting Range and taking place on Saturday, the 11 October 2003. Doors open at 20h00, entrance fee is only R 20 and patrons are allowed to bring in their own XYZ (no chasers).

"Locked & Loaded" features Cape Town based Afrikaans Hip Hop group Kallitz (pronounced ?Coloureds?) live on stage, after just recently finishing up in the studio with their much anticipated debut album. Kallitz will be playing songs off their debut album, which will be released by Mothermix Records soon. The Kallitz track "Die Ding Ruk Mal", appearing on the debut album, is also available on www.AfricasGateway.com as a free download.

Everyone that loves hip hop music is urged to attend. With an entrance fee of only R20, bringing in your own XYZ and a live stage performance, "Locked & Loaded" is a hip hop night not to be missed!
