Marco Polo

Not much is known about Marco to the rest of the nation but if you were at Angels or if you attended a few hip hop jams throughout Mitchell's Plain then you would most likely have heard of him. This clever emcee is a master at freestyling and he writes some of the most intriging Afrikaans verses, yet his career has been a rollercoaster ride, mostly downwards. 

His material is hard to find and when he does record it only sits with the hands of a few. Getting in touch with him is also difficult but when we meet, as we did a 2 months back, we tend to suck every bit of info from him, never knowing when we will see him again. This is an ode to the true ghetto dwella and a dope story teller.
