Never failing they continue to bring out a quality magazine. This issue shows a picture of Jam Master Jay and they continue to shock us with the same level of dopeness experienced in previous issues.
Issue 3 features:
Dave Godin's Top 1000
This column is always a pleasure to read and starting from this issue he let's rip with his top 1000 Blackamerican records. It's pretty obvious that he can't fit all 1000 on 2 pages so he basically tortures us in that we have to wait for future issues.
Tony Rounce writes a fat article on Barry White and Andy Morris talks about a new behind-the-scene's Motown movie.
Dean Rudland has an article about a Detroit based label Westbound Records and George Mahood presents us with a fat and very long Portishead interview. Greg Wilson also contributes a nice one as he tells us about the days of New York's punk era.
There's even more:
Interesting DJ Charts Extra large reviews section Howard Tate Welsh Rap Spye and Si Spex Sweden's hottest graf artist Rilo plus bonus art from Spain The ever so popular Funk 45 and Random Rap Files A pictorial special from Ricky Powell Dante Carfagna
I received this issue about 6 weeks ago and haven't even finished it yet. There's so much information in here to absorb that I'm in no hurry to gobble it up in one day. This is a magazine that needs to be savoured. Plus you get a free cd with it. At last, a magazine gives away a cd that's actually worth listening to.
Highly Recommended
