Joburg based DJ Syntax![]() How long have you been deejaying? I've been in this shit when I was 10 years old. Yeah that's right ten as in ten commandments. I was playing pop music, "last night the dj save my life" was my fav. Then came cds they took over my brain my mind, my soul. I completely stopped playing vinyls. Cds and tapes was my mind. House, RnB and kwaito was my soul. Wait a minute there's no freedom here, Cds you don't skratch! Tapes you sucks! oh man what can I do,I can't breath! I can't sleep, I'm a dead man standing... DAMN "You got's to chill" says EPMD... I went to cd wherehouse and bought myself hip hop cds Erick Sermon and Parish Smith brought back my soul! EPMD brought back my mind! EPMD brought back my life. Gangsta you also save my life. Who influenced you in becoming a deejay? my brother influenced me, he was a radio dj at UCT while studying there, but he played house and kwaito and still bro...so you should ask yourself who influenced me in spinning hip hop joints ha? well cat the music itself influenced me. Hip hop is my soul as a matter of fact my soul is hip hop. The beats! The lyrics! The Mcees! The gear! got damn moth**f*** everything yo...All the components of hip hop are within me... You kill hip hop! You kill the sun! You kill the whole universe! don't you dear cat... What best describes your style? My style is freestyle, free as in I'll do anything. I f*** anything that moves and if it doesn't move I'll kick it. Style as in I'm syntax and no one else is. I love wu-tang, sunz of man my fav. I play hardcore and underground hip hop na what I'm sayin. Like all these moth***f*** say you gotta represent, well I represent the wild wild west with Mack 10, Ice cube, WC as the presidents and to my nigga 2pac I will always remember your smile nigga(RIP). Daz, Lady of rage, Big pimpin, Nate dogg, TQ keep that gangsta shit happening cos we all got a little bit of gangsta shit inside .... Who in South Africa do you think are dope on the wheels of steel?
