Major League Records Recording Artist

I heard you on the CMJ Mixtape (Major League) and really thought that the 2 tracks you got on there were ill. Will we be seeing you release an album soon and if so, what can we expect from it?

Oh word- good look on that- I hope da world feel da same way you do about my records also. I will definayely be releasing my debut album in early spring on Major league/ Market Men. You can expect everything that game is missing right now on my album -( I'm that fill in- u know! ). I got ill flows, banging concepts, hot tracks, interesting features and great supervision- to me- that makes a hit record.

Who is Tribeca? What kind of man is he and where are you from?

Tribeca is a 21 year old rapper/ producer/ ceo born in Harlem raised 21 years in da Bronx, NY ( Valentine ave. 4 life ) Hmmmm - what kind of man is Tribeca? - I would love to think that I'm a humble leader that gives everything and everyone a chance- I'm understanding- just dont get me MAD (joke).

How long have you been involved in Hip Hop?

Well I've been rhyming for about 7 years and producing since 1997.

Have you had any battles?

I've been in da local lunch table battles- is dat considered as a battle? I never really had an interest to join a battle - I do like to see them though - alot of feelings get hurt in those joints - I be rolling on cats when they gettin' dissed!

I personally think that Too Fool is one of the dopest tracks I've heard in a while. I play that shit loud. I'm sure you get the same response wherever you go. Are you touring at the moment?

Too Fool gets good responses - them horns are magical that producer Portiay blessed me on that joint! Nah I'm only doing local venues right now, once I complete all aspects of my album I'll be on da road until its time to do da next album.

Who does your production?

I only got 3 different producers on record as of now - at the end it'll probably be da same 3 - I got a producer named Portiay (Market Men Music Group) that produced a great portion of da record - he also have done joints for KRS-1. I also got another producer named Chi Brown who produced dat Flowers for dead joint that Cuban Link did (r.i.p Big Pun- bx 4 ever - u heard!). The rest of my LP I produced on my own- I've done joints for many artist such as Camp lo, KRS-1 , K-T (Killer Tactics) Blaze battle finalist), Joe Clair from BET's Rap City to name a few.

Anybody you'd like to work with right now?

I always loved how Nate Dogg came on tracks- I will love to do a track with him - our calabo will probably be crazy- so if you know him, plug me - (you know!)

What message are you trying to give to the people out there?

Message #1

Is artists, producers and fellow music people please use your imagination, don't limit yourselves.

Message #2

Is you dont have to kill someone in real life just because you said it in your rhymes - STOP DA VIOLENCE PEOPLE!

Are you coming to Africa in the near future?

Oh is that an invitation? (joke) I would love to see Africa, hopefully my album will jump off how we're expecting- if so, I will be there - any shows people holla at me or BOSS MAN Matty Marcus (212- 840-5579) - Africa has gotta be one of my stops down that yellow brick road.

Any last words or shout outs?

No doubt- much respect to everyone thats giving me support right now, I wont forget it! Thanx to da Boss man for da opportunity - 21 gun salute to my niggas doing that hard time - nuff love to my ace Carnagy Kobaine (next up) Jaylene, Big Papa, Dexcino, Adrienne Jacobs, all my Market Men, Portiay, Chi Brown, Sean and Ceno, my Family immediate, and big shouts to you cat - thanx for da opportunity...one!
