Courtesy of Soulfu Enterprise, The Big Ups from SL Mag Mixtape is out now. A slew of hot tracks from new artists as well as G-town vets put together in a fashion that is similar to the radio show hosted by TNG, i.e. nonstop action. Just having put out another mixtape "Sick With The Flow" as one of The Innovators, this new mix tape is testament to the relentless work ethic that is adhered to. Read on for more details...
In the slapstick fashion of "milking the cow", a mixtape has been dropped the month after getting a somewhat minor mention in an otherwise high profile article on the state of hip hop in South Africa. Although the title pays homage to this, with an interesting cover featuring Skwatta Kamp and Cashless Society, the music contained herein is certainly nothing to be slept on or taken lightly. Though based in Pretoria at the moment, one of the most talented mcs in the game, Mandrakz, drops in to let everybody know what's popping with his crew School of Hip Hop. ZEN, formerly known as the Wordsmith shines once again on a now classic gem along side Chav, Second Son, and Rob One. Those familiar with G-town happenings will know where this track came from and how it was "shortened" to its appropriate version. Newcomer Mentalyricist of The Hiphocalypse delivers what Second Son calls, "a rugged banger" with his powerful confrontational Force Applied song. The streets have waited, now you have it. The Big Ups From SL Mag mixtape. Order directly from TNG:
