Boston-born, Brooklyn-based, DJ G. Brown has created a niche all his own. His radio show is currently heard in 6 countries, his mixtapes are available on 6 continents, and he has rocked crowds in more than 20 countries. Known for merging the worlds of Hip-Hop and Reggae together, G. Brown has made a name for himself worldwide by fusing such unique styles.

A B-Boy from age 7, G. experimented with every element of Hip-Hop before he finally found his true calling as a DJ. At 18 G. moved to Miami, Florida. It was during his short stay in Miami that he jumped into the DJ battle circuit, where he competed alongside some of the world’s greatest turntablists. His rep soon spread, making him a household name in the South Beach Club and underground radio scenes.

Next stop: Brooklyn. Upon moving back up north, G. was soon traveling the world as tour dj for such artists as The Beatnuts, Afu-Ra and Wayne Wonder. Since then, G. has also performed alongside artists like Jay-Z, Outkast, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Gangstarr, Afrika Bambaataa, and Talib Kweli, as well as at events like the Annual Rocksteady Anniversary. Aside from his duties as a tour DJ, G. Brown began rocking clubs as far and wide as London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Bogota, and even the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil!

G. Brown is also equally as notorious for his classic mixtapes. Known for his unique ear, his "Pure Fiya" turntable skills, and trademark "Flawless Blends", his mixes soon became a favorite amongst bootleggers worldwide, reaching as far away as Zimbabwe and New Zealand. Less than a year after diving into the mixtape game, he was nominated at Justo’s Annual Mixtape Awards. This notoriety helped lead to collaborations with Sean Paul, Gangstarr, and Wayne Wonder, and G. was later asked to speak at the world-famous Scratch Academy, a school for DJ’s founded by the legendary Jam Master Jay (R.I.P).

In addition to the tours, clubs and mixtapes, G Brown also hits the airwaves every week with his syndicated Reggae/Hip-Hop mixshow, "Pure Fiya Radio". The show can currently be heard on various commercial stations in the US, and his mixes can be heard regularly on BBC 1xtra (London), Jamm FM (Germany), La Mega FM (Colombia), Radyoyo (Slovenia), Full Blast Radio (Italy), Blackout Radio (Croatia), Suite 903 (Sirius) and AOL Radio.

2004 is proving to be an even bigger year. Touring the globe and collaborating with a Who’s Who list of Hip-Hop and Reggae superstars, G Brown has turned many heads in the music industry worldwide. Most recently, he collaborated with Mr. Vegas on his mixtape “Pure Fiya vol. 3”, rocked parties in Europe and South America, as well as moonlight as DJ on BET’s Rap City: The Bassment with Big Tigga.

Whether it’s on the radio, in the clubs, or in the streets via his mixtapes, G. Brown is hitting you from every angle. Just look for the name…
