Paying dues in tried and true DJ fashion, DJ Wally Sparks began humbly carrying crates for longtime Chattanooga club staple DJ Mixx. After scoring a number of gigs on the college fraternity and sorority circuit, local tastemakers began to take notice of DJ Wally Sparks' party rocking abilities. 

This eventually led to a weekly club gigs at The Whole Note and Rhythm & Brews opening up for DJ Mixx, and different spot dates for the local radio station Power 94.3 (WJTT).
Never satisfied with just spinning for a short amount of time, DJ Wally Sparks began to plan and promote his own events. As a result of the success of these events, the demand for DJ Wally Sparks on the 1's & 2's grew, as did his reputation for rocking parties throughout the state of TN. Calls to rock parties at Lane College, University of TN and TN Tech University soon followed.

Following intense networking in all the cities where he performed, DJ Wally Sparks started a full-fledged event planning company, Sparks Fly Entertainment to capitalize on the relationships forged through rocking parties in various venues.

Through all of these accomplishments, DJ Wally Sparks is still working hard at making his name a commodity in the entertainment industry. Well on his way to doing just that, DJ Wally Sparks' talent and ambition has not gone unrecognized. In September of 2001, DJ Wally Sparks received the inaugural "Platinum Needle Award" given by TJ's DJ's Record Pool, one the most respected pools in the industry. 

Most recently DJ Wally Sparks was chosen first overall in the 2002 Tech.Nitions DJ Draft, and also awarded the Tech.Nitions Message Board Gladiator Award, and co-Rookie DJ Of The Year along with DJ Yoshi of New Jersey at the Tech.Nitions Cool-Out Conference 2003. 

Most recently DJ Wally Sparks was nominated for Justto Mixtape Award, and received a Southern Enetertainment Award for his KING OF SOUTH: The Best Of T.I. mixtape, and was added to the team of the southeast’s most elite record breakers and party rockers The World Famous Superfriends. These accomplishments speak volumes of DJ Wally Sparks' talent and character. Not limited to being just a DJ and a party promoter, DJ Wally Sparks is also well-versed in record retail operations. 

During his time as the manager of Blocklife Records, the only black-owned independent Soundscan reporter in Chattanooga, TN, DJ Wally Sparks was able to assist in the growth of the business. 

By setting up in-store artist appearances, developing marketing strategies for the store, and running the store on a full-time basis, DJ Wally Sparks' presence was instrumental to the success of Blocklife Records.

With goals set high, DJ Wally Sparks is a name that will truly mean something throughout the entertainment industry in days to come. Currently, in addition to being the principal of Crossfade Promotions & Marketing,
