Anyone know any stores that sell old vynils (for sampling) in Joburg ? I only know of Kohinoor in Town. Please help me out.

yo man i´ve been waiting for your reply but anyway check out the following spots
Kohinoor - down market street (it´s the biggest i think?)
at the newtown flee market theres this stall i forgot where back then this old man had some good stuff Mental Groove Records in bruma lake opens a bit late like 11am check it out it sells new stuff but they got like old stuff (not bad )
and while you still in brume lake hit the market world man (i dont think the dude is till there ) it´s worth a try
damn i will hit up my contacts in j-section and find out ;-) ;-)

Sorry man. I´ve been in meetings since morning. Thanks for the info. I´ll mos def check them out. If u have more, just keep them coming. I need to spent this 3G i have on vynils, before my chick finds out i have some cash and sweet talks me into buying her clothes.

hey Morph, u kno where i can buy cds at a decent price? - R240 for a cd not being decent. no one i kno seems to kno anything-im in jhb by the way.

Yo man i have been looking for something like that for months on end but to no avail anyway you can try all the look and listen stores i think the most expansive cd i´ve seen there is about 189 which is a bit steep but acceptable anyway that was the RJD2 _ dead Ringer
sorry man but when it comes to cd´s sh*t is mad expansive like these weekend i have to cough up about R239 for the Wildchild - Code Red album
so i cant help much except if you go to cd warehouse in rosebank and look in the discout section you mgiht find something keep diggin and have patience

What i suggest you do is go to telkom and get an adsl connection for R1000 a month and you can download all the shit you ever wanted. f*** paying those prices for cd´s man. My first salary used to be R500 a month and i will never forget those days.

There´s this little shop in Melville, on 4th ave called Melville Music. I´ve picked great old vinyls for like a rand each, and almost brand new second hand CD´s for like R50. I´ve kept yhis place to myself for a while... :-|

that´s paying too much man. Have you tried to buy stuff online? maybe you should hook up with someone and buy in bulk and save ya money man. Try to visit US sites cause I heard the CD prices have dropped there.
These days I´d rather buy vinvyl and get the album on mp3 unless it has very dope beats cause then I dont want quality loss. One-Two not buying anything at all kills hiphop. Not that I´m judjing anybody.

yo people i hear you and all but i´m in no position to buy online cause i dont have a credit card :-[
even if i do i dont have enough to buy online and the other thing is that you would want to hear it before to make sure you are not wasting you money you dig ;-)
so yeah shit is mad expansive and this wildchild cd i orderd it like back when it was reales in may or something and they only found a copy for me like two weeks ago :-Y so hell i dont know what to do even syndicate records in cape town aint got good shit
