Title: documentary AMANDLA!
Post by: fahfee on March 09, 2003, 05:23:00 AM
who peeped the movie documentary amandla! I saw snippet of it on Phat Joe´s show. The producer, Lee Hirsch, did a interview with Garth Trinidad on Chocolate City.

Hope the link still works:Lee Hirsch interview

They played South African music at last half of the show! South African flavour in LA. But not tracks that some heads might call real hiphop. What will it take to play SA hiphop in the US? But I I digged the show. you can also check out AMANDLA!

peace

There are a few but I havent gotten my hands on them as such though.I think Rush and Milk would be good peeps to ask regarding this as they always got the 411 on stuff.Btw, that Amandla is brilliant. The soundtrack is issued by ATO records.Peep Vusi Mahlasela on that too.My man is too tight.Big ups.

Thanks guys.

Tate - is the documentary available for purchase at all?! Sounds dope as.

Maddstone - I´ve seen the soundtrack around, will definately pick it up soon. As for Aus, I´ve been living here since about ´93/´94...too long! I´m seriously exploring the possibilities of moving back there within the next 2 or so years. Will see what eventuates!
