hey every body, every body hey! (don't mind me)Great idea. We tried to kick something like this off for the last 3 yrs but you know how things go around here... ::)
How about a podcast featuring AG members.
An intro poem by the resident poet(s), a track from konfab, cash, landmynz, Nthabi,Ill Skills, 3manskaap and all the endless MCs on the boards, hosted by briCK and the librarian for hiphocalypse or Rob One and Mel for 20 20 or rotating hosts if AG creates its own podcast.
Just an idea...
Tate.. what goes on sire.. Good to see u out in CPT..Good meeting you too.

Well, let me kick this off then, otherwise it will just sit. I volunteer to host the first edition. And I volunteer to arrange, record and produce it as soon as possible.
If nobody has any objections, I will produce two or three jingles in the next week or so for criticism. I'll work on a (basic) copyright agreement and hopefully we can have most MCs/poets on AG submit tracks.
Any questions?
Thanks for the music as always. You are welcome. Thank you for listening.

Jon Woo ft.Exile - I don't know "The Whole Zed is a Ghetto, 80% of the population living below the poverty line" is the most relevant song I have ever heard from Zed!Where can we hear more?
C4 The Bomb Child - Train of Thought is also good to me.

20/20 EPISODE 56
http://2020.mypodcast.com/2008/11/2020_EPISODE_56_221108-161700.html
Back with a bang this week (and every week thereafter!) with the Federation giving us a double header. Neon and MrC are producing some of the most phenomenal music at the moment, and have easily dropped the best single of 2008. Bang this shit. P-Ca**o, Nas, San and Sway are doing major cosigns in the background.
Ya favourite rapper's favourite podcast...
20/20 EPISODE 58 (08/12/08)
On this podcast...
DJ Wich, with an a**ist from the Cali Agents and MOP. His album is one of the most insane productions of this year, and if you haven't got it, this podcast will show you why you have to.
Lowkey finishes off what Papoose started with Alphabet a**a**in. And yes, it's much, much better.
Hillz kicks a**. His EP Rap is Back is dope as f***, as is his joint Sunshine Evenue.
Skreintax (Dr Syntax and Skrein) are a crazy hip-hop duo from the UK. Their album Scene Stealers is bananas. They're on here
Oh, and...
End of year is coming. We want - by email or by dropping a comment on the website - your top album of the year. Whoever, whatever, wherever. We're putting together our 2009 Hip-Hop Awards, see.

http://2020.mypodcast.com/2008/12/THE_2020_HIPHOP_AWARDS_2008_PART_1_211208-169034.html
2008. Barack Obama. Congo. Banks exploding. Mumbai. COPE. And in our own little corner of the world where we rock to the kick, snare and scratch, it was pretty bananas too. As one of the craziest years in human history rolls to a close, we look back at the best hip-hop albums of the year.
Or rather, you do.
You voted, we counted. Thank you for the truly staggering number of emails we received - even the guy who voted for Guns n Roses (twice). On this episode, we count down numbers ten to six. Some surprises in store!
The final episode of the year next week(28/12/08) will give you the top five. For the moment, download this puppy here.

Here we go...
The Top 5. This is it, kids. You voted for the best albums of the year, and in this final episode of the year, we go for broke.
Did Madlib hang on to number one? How about Immortal Technique? Who is the loan South African challenger? And what about this dark horse gunning for the top spot? We got hundreds of emails nominating many, many albums, but these are the ones that quite simply got it right.
All this, plus the worst albums of '08 (thanks to everyone on here for 'contributing'!). It's an episode jam-packed with goodness, and you can't afford to miss it.
Who's it going to be?

@Tate, What a refreshing episode, so much good music out there. That munetsi track is fire as has been said. Welcome back, the airwaves have been strange without U scholar. Thanks for listening. I'll see if I can get both Rok & mU on here to answer your questions.
What's the word on Recess Poetry and Blakrok? Do they gig? What are their plans?
The thing about mam Miriam is that she was a pioneer.Pleasure!
She travelled out there spreading her message, never forgetting where she came from but embracing and paying respect to the different cultures she was exposed to.
My boyfriend got me a DVD of her performing in Sweden in 1966 and she pulls it off! Better than most artists do today.
She sings in Shona, French, Portuguese, Zulu and English.
With this quiet ( I'm just a girl from a village bt I have something beautiful to share, and I'm fighting this injustice at home, thanks for listening) confidence, she has those Swedes mesmerised.
Thanks for this mix Rebirth.
Looping.
That Munetsi track is CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAZY!!
Thanks for listening. More mU to come. What you think of Outspoken? That Munetsi track is CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAZY!!
Just listened to that episode. Co-signing that! Some other ish!
The "Skillz" track by Dave took me back to the Harambe days...and all the other joints I've bumped thus far are mad dope. Props for this one ;)Big up Harambe-mbe-MBE! I miss that show man :'(. We can only try to fill the void with these.

Calling upon a select team of Zimbabwean MCs from all over the country (and globe) to bring you this compilation of lyricism. Hip Hop needs the platform. PodOmatic seems more feature heavy. It will take some getting used to but once you got it running it appears to integrate very well with social networking sites & blogs etc. It also allows the user to embed artwork in the file which was a feature missing from mypodcast/ Its a superior host to mypodcast but there is a space limitation of 500MB storage & 15GB a month traffic. Thereafter you have to pay to go pro.
I am trying it now running them parallel. For a relatively new podcast like TNG's it may not be a bad look.
Another free one is PodBean.com. I haven't tried it though.
Not having any luck with listening to Jambanja, podomatic freezes when I hit play.If the mypodcast feed is not working just get it from the alternative feed on podOmatic:
I got a first world connection so I dunno what the prob is :(

As you might know, I run a radio show called 20/20. It's a dope podcast with around 1000 listeners a month, available from http://2020.mypodcast.com. I play hip-hop. The good stuff.
Thanks to my man Cliff, 20/20 is now available on a proper radio station. If you have DSTV, it has something called the Audio Bouquet - a bunch of really funky digital radio stations.
Channel 172 is TransAfrica Radio, the guys who have been good enough to let 20/20 take over the airwaves one day a week. It'd make me really, really happy if you'd tune in. Even if you don't dig hip-hop, tune in. I only get to keep the show if I have listeners, so log on!
You can catch the show on TUESDAYS at 15h00, 22h00 and 03h00 on WEDNESDAY mornings. DSTV Channel 172, or alternatively go to http://www.streamovation.com/transafricaradio to listen online.
20/20 IS NOW WORLDWIDE SUCKERS!!!
(Oh don't forget to check out other dope shows at the same time slots - Hiphocalypse on Wednesdays and TNGLive on Thursdays)
Congrats to the AG Podcast Alliance for the recognition. Dopeness.

We are currently upgrading server software and it might take a while. Do not be alarmed, we will be back in a short while.

Dopeness.
Hey, while you're here, do you have a suggestion for a new PodOmatic feature or improvement? Please, tell us!

Dear MyPodcast.com users -Translated. We F'ed up & we'll be back when we're back. I guess u get what u pay for.
As you are probably aware, we are currently experiencing an extended outage on the site. I wanted to take a minute and update everyone on exactly what the problem is, and how we are trying to remedy the situation.
Last week, we received some new hardware in that was supposed to help the performance of the site. However, during the integration of this new equipment we had a problem with some software destroying a key database that a**ociates podcast episodes with their owners. This also destroyed all episodes' titles and descriptions. The good news is that the audio files of all podcasts are completely intact, but we will now have to re-a**ociate these episodes with their podcasts and rebuild all of the pages from backup data. We are working tirelessly on trying to get all this accomplished in as little time as possible. As soon as I have a more concrete timeframe to pa** along to you all I will. I apologize for the downtime and please rest a**ured that we are hard at work to get things back up as soon as possible. We thank you for your continued patience.
Regards,
Jay Neves

Nah B, just differences in taste. When I think someone is really really really dope, you're calling them wack. But here, we agree.

Interestingly enough Chamillionaire is a bit misrepresented in the mainstream media. He's actually an alright dude. At sxsw 07 he was going on about how he's married, doesn't drink or smoke & is generally a mature family guy type.

It is my distinct pleasure to announce that the good folks at Recharged Radio (www.rechargedradio.com) have given 20/20 Hip-Hop Radio it's own spot on their schedule.
And not just twenty minutes either. Every Sunday night at 19h00 GMT (20h00 SA Time) you can expect a full hour of the hottest hip-hop on the planet. Blazing beats, sick verses, crazy shit-talking from yours truly and some of the finest music you'll ever hear.
This weekend, we kick off with joints from Klashnekoff, DJ IQ, Jay-Z, Illuminating Shadows, The Holstar, Ben Sharpa and many more, plus an exclusive lookback at the 25th DMC DJ Championships which took place in London this weekend.
That's tomorrow night, 19h00 UK / 20h00 SA. TO LISTEN, HEAD ON OVER TO WWW.RECHARGEDRADIO.COM TO STREAM LIVE!!!
(There's still a regular podcast by the way - available Monday at http://2020.mypodcast.com)
That new intro. Epic
Every year, when EA Sports drops their NBA Live series of videogames - or the update for the current year at least - they drop a great mixtape of rap tunes. That new intro. Epic
Every year, when EA Sports drops their NBA Live series of videogames - or the update for the current year at least - they drop a great mixtape of rap tunes. Which is why, on this episode, we have a spectacular joint. De La Soul with indie band Matt and Kim; much better than it sounds. And for all you hoop fans, we have a little something special for you. Listen close.

That Bulls over Jazz sound bite. Epic. (I would have used one of the Bulls over Celtics in last years playoffs ;D clips but I do like how you augment your show though)
2020hiphopradio. Epic.
PS: 2K is a better game than Live. Haven't heard this year's soundtrack but previous years had some gems. See: Little Brother - Carolina Agents, Cool Kids - 2K Pennies etc.
P.P.S. I am taking on ALL challengers in NBA 2K9.
I challenge any show or podcast to come hotter than us on the rap tip.I like your confidence. I know a couple of shows that may be up for that challenge... :-\ :) ;) 8)

Don't agree with the sentiments about Mos & Thought "failing to inpress in recent years" (see: 75bars Thoughts Reconstruction and Casa Bey/ Quiet Dog)
& The Ecstatic? & Tariq has remained lyrically razor sharp since Illadelph.
And True Magic (even if was a 'for obligations' release?) New Danger? Mos has f***ed up recently Tate.

The mixtape finally surfaced online after several years this week - it first saw action in around 2005/6 as a prelude to Zubz's stellar second LP - and we've got two joints kicking off the show this week.
