Great informative staff from SABC.

Speaking of which,I heard Oprah say she traced her roots in Africa and her DNA show she is a Zulu HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

She also told South Africans she felt "at home" in the country.
"I went in search of my roots and had my DNA tested, and I am a Zulu," Ms Winfrey said at a seminar in Johannesburg last week.

Right on brother.
When or if all the foreigners leave, it will turn cultural real quick. Its not difficult to see the split within our political leadership already.

It really is just a matter of time.
Not to sound like im justifying it all, but this has happened many times before in other african countries.
People indigeonous to a specific country divided against cultural lines fighting each other for whatever reasons.

There is nothing new under the sun. Our ancestors have been fightning each other for centuries...Those tensions never really died down, they were left dormant and have been festering for ages. I hate to sound like a prophet of doom, but the way it all looks now, civil war is emminant in this country. Economic factors will prolly trigger it all off, and when that happens, God help us all...

I consider myself black, but I don't speak any native language either, unless you consider Afrikaans native.

Most coloured folks would take offence to being called black. Especially in the Western and Northern Cape.

So let start a unity as individuals. Let stop focussing on stereotypes enforced in our minds, which also translate to our way of doing. Let embrace our differences openly and cautiously, meaning that we must be aware of other when celebrating ourselves and roots. Less self glorification. Respect and care for ones self, ones neighbor, community, province, and country.

Man...i really hate to sound "Malcom X-esque/Martin Luther King-esque" here but the truth of the matter is the greatest fear of the western world is unity within the african race. They will never allow that to happen. No revolutionary of that nature has ever fought that battle and survived! Lumumba, Nkrumah i could go on for days.

But i hear what you are saying. And that is the stance i have taken on myself. I will not discriminate on a fellow african based on his cultural practices and/or where he/she comes from. Tolerance is a very easy word to use, but it becomes increasingly difficult when you try to put it into practice.

At the end of the day, there is always hope. But i personally believe that our generation will not live to see any form of successfull cultural integration.

I feel you dawg. But, look at it this way, we now have larger tribes known as Xhosa, Sotho, Zulu, Pedi, and etc. And all these were formed by sub-tribes. So I could say I'm not Zulu (even thou I speak Zulu) cos my tribe is the Bhengus and Khumalos. However, I am Zulu cos Bhengu and Khumalo were united under the Zulu tribe. Another cool thing is that we were once a unity-Xhosa, Sotho, Swati, Zulu, and etc: THE NGUNI NATION. And it's possible for us to go back. And like u said, only time will tell

I may be mistaken here, but I don't think the Sothos were ever part of the Nguni nation, so you shouldn't accept them ;D. I may be wrong though and I get what you're saying.

what about me and Jamie and Ruthie (no Ricky Martin)? Where do we go, with all our dirty mixed blood? Who will take us in?

U could always just join us...BaTswana.  8)
Is it correct to say that I got coloured blood in me? Got lotsa relatives who are coloured. Does that mean I have like a 3rd of white and 2 3rds of black in my blood? :-\

Believe it or not, DNA tests have been done and it comes out that Oprah is not Zulu.
Some program tested Oprah's DNA and she was somewhat sadden that she wasn't Zulu
(which is somewhat ridiculous, because African-Americans basically come from West or
Central Africa). She's actually Liberian and East Asian!

What bullshit is this? You trying to f*** with my money?

Zulus aren't as smart as you. Xhosas are trying to take over then country. Those coloureds think they're better than everyone, especially the ones with straight hair. Tswanas are scared of everything, and The Sothos think they're so cool with their silly hats and mountain kingdom.

I say fight!

That's a bullshit joke right there man.  >:(

its very funny actually. HA HA HA!! i burst out laughing.
