Title: Black Movies
Post by: Anna Sasin on October 22, 2008, 09:31:49 AM
What is your take on recently released 'black movies'?

The Tyler Perry Ones:
Diary of a Mad Black Woman
Madea's Family Reunion
Daddy's Little Girls
Why Did I get Married etc

And Others:
I think I love My Wife
This Christmas
Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins

All centered on family values and marriage and black characters doing well for themselves, no drugs, prostitution or gangsterism in the plot.

Whats your view?

I think Chris rock's character in I think I love my wife was a bit too unrealistic.

The scene where she is lying back and he slips off the panties and then runs off...

Come on. Which man would do that? Did you see that woman?

Other than that, they're probably cool.

ive been thinking about the feasibility of such scenario granted it happens any way in this life we live... question i ask myself and other men on here. is it possible to be completely faithful?

it depends on wat u perceive as being faithful...
if being unfaithful doesnt include thoughts, intimate hugs and all that flirting with ada women...then its possible to be completely faithful...

Absolutely hate ALL Tyler Perry's movies....
Cosign on Kerri Washington being hot though but for some reason she looks like she's given one too many blow jobs to me.... She has that, trashy look about her and they tried to make her LOOK all sophisticated in that move but still.... mmm but then again that's just me...

@ Sir no it's not, not even for women. You will always be curious to see what's out there or even as rea**urance. So you'll flirt only to see "if you still got it."

They all suck... I dig african americans when they do gangster movies, drugs, and prostitution in the mix, its more realistic....

Just like Italian Americans do dope Mafia movies....

then its not possible...even if they gave u korobela, u still gonna be unfaithful like that...women or men...like Athena said...
its only natural...u wudn't be human if u can be completely faithful...

tyler perry has a very laboured and obvious way of making a point, bt i think he did his best job on 'why did i get married',purely bcoz of the subject matter, brought up sm things i hadn thort of.

on kerry washington...afta seein her in sm trashy movie wher she is a lesbian who gets her lesbian frenz to pay her ex boyfriend for sex so they cn get pregnant (can't remember the name, bt it was vile), i sorta developed a trashy impression of her,n those lips dn help, lol.
she's hot though

being faithful is a choice like any other and many variables affect the outcome, thts wy ther r guys tht cn b faithful as crazy as tht sounds,ur character, morals, upbringing, exposure, feelings for your partner, level of discipline, view on the world and relationships etc cn al make temptation easier for some guys to walk away from than others.same way sm guys cn b celibate for years,js coz they made tht choice n r determined to stick 2it

I think it can be done. My only problem is if my man stop doing things and saying things I hit the clubs to floss a new dress and that leads to mad flirting.

that they're made for Church going Black Women. Did you know
that before making those plays and movies, he was homeless?

Well.... Like when I buy a new dress just for him, it's not that he doesnt notice it, but he's so used to me being fly he feels I should already know this. Then i hit the club, with him and man does he get jealous. That time Im working it on the dance floor thinking to myself * nicca you better know what time it is! * ;D

why spend money on something like a dress just for him to pay attention to you. why dont you work on your relationship rather and deal with your relationship problems?

If you feel upset that he doesn't notice things anymore and you feel the need to spend money on getting noticed, maybe there are some problems. That and him not putting down proper poundage, means maybe he was getting tired of the relationship.

If its only physical and there's no other connection there, this is usually what happens.
