Title: wrist watch phones
Post by: daliq on March 13, 2009, 10:11:49 AM
The LG GD910 is the first 3G wrist watch phone that allows voice commands and video calls. It packs a 1.4" TFT touchscreen, quad-band GMS/3G/HSDPA with video-call support, Bluetooth connectivity and a nice looking Flash-based user interface.

There's a workaround for texting too, though obviously on the receiving end only - LG GD910 has text-to-speech capabilities for your convenience. Alright, maybe there will be a way to send text too, but the screen estate does not exactly imply typing bliss. There is also a secondary CIF camera if 3G video calls are your thing. Despite its small size GD910 uses an appropriate Li-Ion battery allowing near 250 hours of stand-by and 2 hours full of talk time.

given that this is the first of its kind, the follwing:

1.4" TFT touchscreen (think of the size of your thumb)

text-to-speech capabilities (think of your accent)

talking into your wrist (think of your pride)

are bound to keep me right the f*** away from this joint. i know someone who recently bought the new touch-screen Blackberry. the shit looks really cool, but give yourself five minutes trying to make a call on the thing and you're ready to throw it against a f***ing wall. i won't even go into texting and browsing.

I kinda played around with every known portable device out there
bluetoof sorts out any connectivity for the device, whether it be headsets, keyboards, u name it
The Micro-SD standard going up, imagin pumpin 16 Gb + into the device.
I can think of numerous applications for these phones.
The text to speech be military grade these days, sometimes even surpa**ing hand recognition.
i write on my phone like I'm using a notepad & errthing is converted to text. the $$ tech is there.
heuristic algorithms are leap years ahead & embedded into these microscopic devices.

Right now these toys are in gla** displays..they coming out later in the year..
