Title: NBA 2010
Post by: rob_one on April 27, 2010, 09:28:00 AM
I don't see an NBA thread!  8)

Big talking points:

- OKC evening the series with the motherf***in' LAKERS? Get outta here! Kevin Durant / Russell Westbrook making serious noise.

- Bulls losing badly to the Cavs, but looking to show Lebron that he'd look good in red. Imagine James combined with Rose and Noah, and away from old-a** Ilgauskas and Jameson. Hmmm...

- Magic sweeping the Bobcats. Bad luck Mike.

Thoughts?

Wishful thinking I reckon - not with the current talent on offer in Boston, Orlando, San Antonio...

stop it..Orlando, LA and Cavs will beat ya'll , your bench is a joke so in essence you really have no depth. Not to mention your core is old as dirt...garnett, pierce and ray are approaching mid thirties....young, running teams have been giving you trouble all season. plus rondo cannot shoot for shit, posses the brokest jumper of all point guards remaining in the post season..

you dudes are lucky you are not meeting hawks it woulda been a repeat ma**acre of the regular season...

Yes team may be ageing but they still get the job done, Cavs is a one man team, besides James whop else? Jamison can shoot but can he run a game? how many game runners sit on the bench? Garnet?  Pierce? Rondo?

anyway lett see how it goes

the bulls gave the Cavs a scare thats for sure..

That they did. I'm really hoping Lebron makes a move to the Chi in the offseason. It depends if the Cavs win the finals or not. If they do, then we can forget it.

that rose kid is the truth. but y'all need to do something about your shooting though. cos besides rose and the occasional 3 pointer by Hinrick it was air ball galore.

miller and shaq? what gives?

I know. It's a problem.

My worry is, Del Negro is about to get the boot. That means the Bulls will have had seven coaches in ten years - not a good look. I like Del Negro; a little traditional but a damn good coach. It'll come to no good letting him go.

But imagine Rose, Noah and James on one team. Fastest point guard in the league, one of the best centres, and the hands-down best player. In. One. Team. ;D

The Hawks are still in average one of the youngest teams in the league, if we can keep this squad, with maybe a few additions, given a little time to mature (with added playoff experience), the Hawks have a lot of potential!

Ha. Remember when the Hawks were a punchline? I remember Supastition: "Your show look like an Atlanta Hawks game..."

Not so much anymore. Maybe the Knicks or the Nets take that title now! ;D

And that Dallas-SAS game...what in the hell was Dirk doing? He had three flagrants in one go! Then they get a technical. Not a way to come back guys.

I don't why, I'm developing feelings for SAS right now. I reckon they should take it.

i really questioned that move.

i have issues with one man run teams, Dwight howard. everything cant always hinge on one mans shoulders?

LA - Kobe
Cleveland - James
Orlando - Howard

i still think boston has the best chance, even with our ageing team

The reason i believe cavs got the tools to beat Orlando this time is new additions, rashad lewis will NOT have a free ride anymore on defense or offense...no more shooting jumpers over 6"2 guys jamison will match up with him, no more hedo and 6"10 frame being guarded by wally szerbiak (disgusting).....so with those match up out of the way. Their biggest prob last season was covering dwight 1 on 1, with shaq problem solved...no need to send double teams anymore...if bron gets of like last season and gets some help. and don't forget they added vince carter a no heart having jump shooter...

Ok youngin', do I remember when Hawks were a punchline?! When was that yesterday? I became a Hawks fan in the eighties when they had Dominique Wilkins, Moses Malone, Doc Rivers,... 'Nique and Spud Webb were winning the Slam Dunk competitions, and the Hawks were going to the Conference Finals!

In the nineties they were ok, I liked Mookie Blaylock, Steve Smith, Dikembe Mutombo, but in the eighties they were the shit! I am just a loyal kinda guy, stop talkin all that mess about my team!

Ugghh that was ugly! And I'm in Orlando right now, so I'm gonna hear it from these losers tomorrow! It's the bottom of the 3rd Quarter, and I'm turning off the TV!! SMDH at these Hawks!

Thats because horford is pf, not a center...this team is just bad of the top tier teams, they could play against they can only beat the celtics and it because they run other than that their coach is shit...the worst. all that one on one is not getting them anywhere....even the cavs with their one man gang ran more plays than them.  A talented squad that this coach aka equipment manager will not maximise the talent they have, after this season he should go.

@pdub you clearly have forgotten how rasheed has frail mental toughness......he prolly will not play as well as he did....this entire series and on the low if this cavs push the ball a little more, just a little, this series is a wrap in five....but they won't so seven game series, another thing lebron is coasting instead of playing entire games...one area kobe beats lebron is knowing the intricacies and nuances of being a superstar, when to deliver a bucket, or when to tell niccas move...its my time. its good to have core philisophy but hot damn add wrinkles to your game strategy from team to team...

Phoenix are looking like contenders! I'm not even watching game 4 in the Atlanta-Orlando series. San Antonio were looking rather old! I am kinda surprised by the Celtics blow out the other day, not sure, if any east coast team could take it all. It kinda sucks how much stronger the Western Conference is compared to the East, it's been like that for far too long. Western Conference Teams are more fundamentally sound, and have better management. You see the same teams dominate on the west year after year, most East Coast teams on some flash in the pan. It's been 40 years since the Knicks won a championship.. 40 YEARS!!! (Willis Reed, Walt Frazier,..), East Coast teams need to get their shit right!

just head the best quote ever. Reporter: "Paul Pierce just tweeted on his Twitter page, somebody get a broom. Your comment?" Dwight Howard: Long pause "Am I supposed to comment on that?"

Here's hoping the Magic come back. I'd hate to see a Celtics-Lakers final. Yawn.

u already know thats what will happen

Just like i thought sweeping both 1st and 2nd round doesn't mean shit, saw it with the cavs last year and now this pussy a** squad..

fisher won't play him...smh, you think LA would let kobe chase allen around picks?

late but lebron really disappointed me, i had him as the unquestioned best player...now not so sure. if led those bums to the finals 07, he most definitely should have led this team. This year was strictly about lack of effort..(f*** why), his legacy took major hit.

Remember though, they said the same thing about Jordan in 87/88/89.

And it's Phoenix! Taking apart that Laker D. Nash drives in, draws the defenders, Lopez wide, wide open down bottom. This happens TWICE.

Cue Phil Jackson throwing a hissy-fit.  ;D What a great game.

Sheeeeit. Rondo is the reason Kobe can hit 38 points and still lose. I really wish the Celtics would let him go so I could actually support him. Fat chance.

Go Lakers!  >:( Blech.
