watup?
anyone listening to any new ill shit, lately?
i've married into a rich white family and now i have ADSL and all sorts of other nice things.
the UGHH thread seems a little stale; don't lead me there.
just write your shit here.
peace and prosperity,
your brother in good taste and robust hip hop elitism.

Sad to realised this about myself.
I realised recently that Hip-Hop in particular makes me so unproductive and so unfocussed. The less I listen to it the more attentive I am, the more focussed I am, also feels like i remember things better. This is just me but for real thats how it is.
I've been debating with myself about which time during my day i should bump something. For now i ration the time i spend listening to it, in fact I've been trying my best not to listen to it. I though i'd be listening to a lot of Blu like a month in advance but I had already realised this so i actually tried to play his music a couple of hours before his gig. I wonder what this has to do with. maybe im getting old.
anyway, before all of this I was listening to a whole lot of J.Cole. before that it was Diamond District which I'm sound better everytime i listen to it.

Theres been a lot of noteworthy HIPHOP out in the circuit fam, its really a matter of knowing where to look and what in particular you are looking for. nowadays the blogs have ceased to be random and have become very much driven by demand specific hosting. unlike when they all came into being and most of their focus was on hits, the latest trend in blogs is geared towards kEEPING the traffic they already have. with that said, here is a little tip when looking for music on the web:
go to your favourite search engine adn type in your prefered type of hiphop, be it conciosus, battle and "+ BLOG" etc...
now with that said, here is what im bumping:
TREK LIFE & ODDISEE - everything changed nothing
EL DA SENSEI & THE RETURNERS - Nu world
THE q4 - DARKER DAYS

I've always considered it lazy for someone to say that 'there is no good hip-hop' to listen to...wtf!
Anyway, checkout M3nsa, he's got a new album dropping in November or sometime then.
Krukid is also dope, US-based, Uganda-born. He's working on a project called S.O.S
They new TY album, 'Special kind of fool', is super-dope!
Check out for a producer called Richy Pitch, he's fresh!
DJ Embee's album, 'Mellow turning moment', is something to consider
I could go on...but most importantly, check these two releases out:
Kat-law - Remembering: http://bit.ly/9DfxM0 (http://bit.ly/9DfxM0)
Isosceles - The Untitled EP: http://bit.ly/aonuPt (http://bit.ly/aonuPt)

i mean. try listening to "Roasted" by Curren$y while working on something "serious".
[i just 'wasted' ~20 min validating this theory]

Last time I listened to new acts was when the following came out
Saigon (turned me into a stan)
Lupe (dope)
Drake (yerrr whats the hype with this dude? most unpleasant listening experience ever, was with a fan...lied to him and asked for the album......that isht got recycle binned)
-
I only listen to the softer shit nowadays.
More melodious sounding stuff, like cradel orchestra, Blu and Exile and such. The boom bap and the hard grimey stuff just doesn't do it for me anymore, unless I am wasted. Then I pull out the raw stuff, like Tech9 and BCC.
