in the current issue of ymag there is an intervew  of talib kweli.
on that intervew the brother diisses sa siaing that technologically we r still in the 70´s.
hes got the nerve to say that even fasion wise we r still back there.

i´m a fan of the brother but some times as fans we gotta draw the line.

talib was sniffing coke when he came to south africa, so from that moment on i never listened to one of his albums anyway

If he really said that, then he lost a fan. That would just be plain DISrespectful.

strange I read one where they were in Cuba and he was saying that he loved the way they were not Western-influenced and did things as they saw fit. I hope that the interviewer minced his words on this one.

I hope the crack rumours aint true.

Oh..relax you little kiddies. The technology thing kinda weird and dumb. But saying that you´re not gonna support a man because of that or that he sniffs is even dumber. As fan we should listen to what the mc give us-the music. I don´t care if he called us a jungle while sniffing coke off the titties of some prostitute in HillBrow 2000 Seasons still exists...

P.S You have to be pretty numb to think that you favourite mc or artist hasn´t tried any drugs...

Isn´t weird how we celebrate rappers smoking weed, and diss them for doing anything else... drugs are drugs ekse... it´s all about the escapism.

what is the real issue here?
celebrate the music, the artist is merely the vessel through which it travels.

how can you make a track against coke and then do it your self. Aint that hypocritical?

Any way with the content talib´s been bringing lately I think that those rumours are just that, rumours.

So I will keep listening to him, until I meet him blown-out like a "fien´ on the streets trying to sell some broken amps"

I think its bullsh*t that talib should get away with dissing  sa besides its not like he´s all that in a bag of chips! in future he must choose his worsds and remember where he comes from(his routs)
