LATSHO IZULU!
the eternal drum
LATSHO IZULU!
the eternal drum
im seeing dusty streets
the sound of little feet
marching
im seeing dusty streets
the sound of little feet
marching
marching
marching
a child faces a gun
ready to fight
refusing the night
they awoke the sun
our GOD was in it
who had seen such blazing spirits
it was the word
the black on white
that we continue to write
it was the word
you burnt
and the lessons well learnt
it was the word
for which you died
it was the word
access always denied
it was the word
and the fate of a nation turned
it was the word
and so we speak
for it is too/through the word
today
everyday
we celebrate
our mothers ululate
a dance with destiny
sweet reverie
your shining hearts
have played their part
documented
we have ascended
and you are commended
oh cla** of 76
born anew
in you
our heritage we retrieve
you made us believe.

One word "Deep"
Thank you cla** of '76
I have my avator for the whole month in memory of the youth of '76

just remember that in their death they are not divided from us who are reaping the fruits nurtured by the fallen blood on the tarmac...we raise our hopes to levels unforeseen coz of the fight they put up...we can never pay them back for what they did but we can move on and pa** forward the strength they possesed for having acted in the manner they did. They did not set out to become heroes oy martyrs but fate saw in them a certain glow that had to be immortalised and the manner in which they were immortalised was not the prettiest or morally right way..but they gave their gifts to time, now we free..this day is always too hectic for me.
cla** of 76 and those in posterity will neva be divided

can never really get to grips with what this day really achieved, probably never will
