Hot Traxxx / Check out some Australian Audio
« on: July 09, 2005, 04:42:43 PM »
Up and coming Sydney Hip-Hop Crew, Verbal Perception, have released a track sampling some of our new songs we have been doing. The reason behind this is, that we havent put any new songs up on our mp3 page since December 2004 and thus we want to reclaim our number one spot in the Hip-Hop chart there. So please have a listen and pa** the link onto a friend or two :).

Click here to listen to the track

While your at it, you can also check out some very old tracks we layed down and you will notice the progression.

All the best,
Chris

Stealth Magazine have set up a section on their forum for people who are in overseas scenes to post up information about their countries hiphop. This is done in order to get the viewers to have a wider knowledge of overseas hiphop. Along with your area to be familiar with Australian Hip-Hop. With the possibility of establishing contacts within the scenes in order to promote your product in each country.

Those interested should visit this link and post relevant information in the relevant country.

Yes,

Although - steer clear of RNB Promoters and Mainstream stuff like Sony - since any artists who come down under with those people are treated like jokes by the hiphop community.

The scene is defiantly going well - expanding all the time now although we are faced with people in the mainstream trying to create a commercial scene and provided a cheap immitation of our music and culture which is a real sign of disrespect to us.

Enough of the politics, there are plenty of dope underground shows and festivals going on for Aussie Hip-hop. There is a place in my area just open up for African Teenagers to go and learn more about hiphop and record tracks and that. This is becoming quite popular with the increasing amount of coloured africans immigrating to our land as it is providing them with great services and opportunies to help them settle into society and establish themselves.

I think I have heard of Sesh or someone from your part of the world - she came to Sydney and has overstayed her visa cause she loves it so much - is this las have her own radio program? because ive heard about one lady who fits your description Rush.

Peace
Izzo

yeah...

Seems to have died down... from what i heard used to go down, down under:). Not like in europe where every f***ing pole, lamp, sign, wall, cow have tags on them. But there were some DAAAAAAAAMN nice pieces in melbourne and syndey... buondi beach n shit...

Dont know how much of it was local... at one wall of fame i saw everyone from Loomit to DAIM to Can2 to Seak representing.... Very nice shit though.

Then again... since i stopped writing i kinda been loosin my eye for it, lookin for new innovation.

Anyone interested in graff... do yourselves a favour and do a search for 'Os Gemeos' ... i havent heard anythin from them (they're twins) in a while... but 2 years ago their shit blew me away.

Yes, Can 2 has come out twice to Australia and has painted a few dope legals around the joint.

The scene in Sydney did die down after and just before the olympic occurred - due to the ma**ive buffing and 24 hour cleaning programs.

Although recent we have seen whole cars nearly every night, train lines thrashed, streets being bombed again, train insides thrased - so all is getting back to normal :)

Bondi Beach - is a nice place to do legal pieces has alot of burners too.

Yer most of those pieces you would of seen were local stuff.

Underground Hip-Hop is the true art form of Hip-Hop.

Mainstream/Commercial is a cheap representation of Hip-Hop.

Compare the lyrics of an Underground Artist a say 50 Cent - and you will see that Underground Hip-Hop slays anything commercial.

Also - Underground Hip-Hop consists of MC's being true to themselves while Mainstream/Commercials consists of MC's trying to live out an image which is not them.
