My first rap mags were bought from these shops that sold books by the kilo. Way back. I usually managed to get copies of HIPHOP CONNECTION, the british magazine. We could sometimes even get mags from as far as the bay area at these kilo shops. It all changed after the rand dropped to the floor and imports became expensive. I remember spending days without eating just to get those mags.

I loved Spex - Rhymes I Wrote and the Muthaload compilation is a true masterpiece. A true cla**ic of JHB hip-hop and it was produced at the height of Kwaito fever.
What I regret spending money on without listening to the album was Snoop - The Game is to be Sold not to be Told. I was too embarrased to even give it away. That last Bles Bridges album was also quite wack.

I have a library system where I write down what people borrow from me. Don´t matter if I know you my whole life and you married to my sister, I write it down. When it comes to cd´s, I would rather make you a copy than borrow it to you. My babies don´t leave my house without me.
