I think the Anvills are capable of being the most viable crew on the commercial scene. They shouldjust make that clear break on the mainstream and i'm VERY porivite that they'll suurvive.

Guys are too good. Keep it up!

Tribalism.

AmaXhosa aphikisana namaZulu (I think?)

I never knew ba sigcwele lawey apha eAG

well...u AG kakade ugcwele ngabantu base Kapa...u do the maths

but who cares thou. we here for Hip-Hop rite?

true Myth. this whole tribalism thing is really transvestite.

i kinda forgot the whole Cape Town thing. I'm from Port Elizabeth, i was a**uming the vast majority is from Eastern Cape. Xolo mfe2.

@mad skillz:

Dude, i'm xhosa too, but i aint hating Zulus. That was kinda drastic what you said right there, its not even funny. Thats parallel to a racist/xenophobic mentallity.

On the real, comments like that are just not needed here. Not at all.

I really don't think it's a case of hating. I actually like Mizi, he's a cool dude. I just don't like the direction the magazine has taken. It is so monotonous. It got the same people all the time. I mean hey, the layout and so forth is looking good, but its no use if i'm being fed the same thing over and over again.

I'm not a bg fan of Da Les, but i have no problem with him being on the cover. Let him push his own huslte and i'll push mine, He seems to be making it far, so who am i to hate?

I just don't like the Hype magazine simply because it is not bringing anything new to me. it is actually boring now. Same cats on the mixtape, all of those cats bringing the same type of feel on their tracks... listeneng to these mixtapes is like eating dry rice every day.

On top of that, the magazine keeps promoting the same people all the time. I understand if they have an article on someone twice, but now it is reaching the point where they are praising the same artist over and over til it gets to the point that it starts frustrating you. How are new artists expected to be recognized if this keeps happening? The cats being exposed by the mag repeatedly are not even half as good as many other unknowns in SA.

But yah, thats just me man.

PS: The last time I bought Hype was when HHP was on the cover.

Something different - my endeavour in drawing from the great FELA.  Shortened version.

Really nice and breezy, like it much. :)

I recently came accross a beat done by Nyambz, it's off his 'Winter Beat Tape' he did a couple of years ago, i just noticed the beat recently. It's called 'Tribute to J-Dilla'.

Beat is really beautiful, really.

I know Nyambz is overrated, but this beat is something i really did not expect from him. It's not a typical 'Nyambz on some 9th Wonder tip' beat, its really different.

Its got a hard ba**line but the 'interllectual sampling' done on this track is so diverse, you can feel the message come through on this one.

It ain't monotonous nor stagnant.

This beat is a mover. I suggest you guys look for this mixtape and listen to this beat. Its really nice for soul-searching.

i would upload it, just don't know if i got permission
