but brick thats like a white person denying racism just because theyre not racist. There is a general tone in the public sphere of the denigration of black women... we see it in the music, the entertainment scene in general, online, its everywhere... that Visagie incident was not a coincidence. even in todays society the black woman is of least value of all peoples... she has no protection and when something happens to her its expected that she has the natural strength to build herself back up without anybody intervening... like the frikkin bionic woman. then they throw in the "strong black woman" label as a compliment but in fact its to further say you cannot express pain even when youre being injured.

furthermore... the sad fact is in the black community you have women telling women how to get a man and what they should look for in a man and at the same time you have women (single mothers) telling men how to be a man... so you're bound to have crisis. Thats why so many men are bitches now... the effects of the disconnect are starting to show. Until the black family is a balanced unit again (which doesnt look like its happening), we are going to see problems like these manifesting themselves in black dating habits.

never said I dont wear make-up or weaves (I DO NOT WEAR WEAVES... but thats preference). I also said there are real, cool, sweet wonderful girls of all types that guys ignore- by "all types" I meant all girls, even the ones who wear weaves and what not. Trust me, there are enough nappy haired, long skirt wearing "afrocentric sistah" women who are foul as shit ...PLENTY!
The basic tenets of what I'm saying is that there is balance. Brick speaks as if there is an imbalance- that black women have "changed" while black men have stayed constant, which is not the case. Black men skipped out of blackness and the black family a loooong time ago (in a way by force and in pother ways voluntarily), and black women have had to change to meet those challenges, even if it means resorting to stupid, fear-based control tactics like putting impossible criteria for how they choose partners... and indeed looking at a man's shoes before taking in who he really is. The dynamic between us is not the same as before.... it doesnt matter WHO he is...as long as he can do A, B and C. Im not condoning or decrying anything- all Im saying is those ridiculous demands women make are a result of the black experience over the last 70 years or so. This thing is inter-generational, I'm afraid. We are dealing now with the outcomes of the relationship dynamic between our parent's generation- where the black home disintegrated. Now mothers teach their daughters 'this is the kind of man you want' 'stay away from him' ... its all defense tactics... form generations of women who've been hurt. And if that makes you mad as a black man, Im sorry. And if I may ask, where is your daddy? Most likely you dont know... and your mom had to teach you how to be a man- and because your father wasnt shit, she probably molded you to be the type of man that caters to women in the way today's girl is being raised to look for a man that can do A, B and C... so you're perfect for each other.
