Anyways...i dont know, but wen i listened to the beat, the 1st person that came to mind was Common,in a way it kinda sounds similar to wat he's been using on most of his latest material (the Kanye era)...

i made a beat for the first time in a long time today.

shit, that makes me realise i have'nt made shit in 10 years, damn inspiration is blocked by all this work man. let me check this joint out

Same here - my midi fckd so now i be on some mouse clicking (can't get a convincing beat with a mouse click in Reason)

@Oints - Beautiful riff - ?did you add the scream 4 to it? - I would add some strings to it - subtle strings.  But i like - i need a midi asap.

I have a dream...UNA ( United Nations of Afrika )

I have a dream of seeing Afrika as one with one president, one common goal and united in Love. Together we stand, devided we fall! The injustices occuring in Afrika not only caused by outside forces but coming from within. The greatest fight any man can ever go thru is a fight that goes on within. Once we reach a place where we @ peace with within no matter the outside forces, only than can we influence our surroundings. Forget Ethinicity, traditions, religions, cultures etc bcos we all existed b4 all of these existed. They dont make u who u r but only give u a foundation to build on and if u r not motivated by love and respect, whateva ur background u cant claim to have anybodys interest at heart.

Dream big...its the only thing that stirs ur soul! Peace...

Eshe!

kwame nkrumah of ghana had a similar dream. the west woke him up though
Gaddafi too

Something different - my endeavour in drawing from the great FELA.  Shortened version.

i see what u mean by the FELA inspiration...i also saw a bit of Salief keita over here...i like the liveness of the sounds, what did u use to cook it up, walk me thru it if its not too much trouble...

i also like the organ u got in the background, its nice and live, jus like the drums...

i do have only one problem thou, there is the sound of drum sticks beatin against each other thru out the track, the sound is similar to a one two drum check, you knw before the drummer really gets on them...well i think u should either turn that very  very low or do away of it completly, it draws all attention from the fullness of the beat....

I LIKED IT very much thou... ;)

I hear what you saying about the drum sticks - it's a reason rim shot - now that u mention it i hear the problem - will definitely work on that.  Thanks on the feed back - I was actually worried about the horns melody but will hear as more feedback

I got most of Fela's cd's and I copped some dvd where he was playing live in France and that's where i got all my inspiration.  He plays the organ, tambs and the sax on each song interchangeably - he is gargantuan - Mr President
