Anybody heard the remix to AKA's track do it yet? I havent found any links to it yet.. heard on metro this weekend and im kinda dissapointed.
the track had so much potential, then they had to go put Slikour and J.R on it (no hating but they just dont fit on that track) other wise Maggz was nice as always and AKA did hes thing, just wish they couldve chosen a better line up (like RUTHLESS  8) )

General Discussion / HipHop Thanksgiving
« on: November 30, 2008, 09:51:04 AM »
from Rapbasement.com

This past year hip hop has had it’s many up’s and down’s. This Thanksgiving we wanted to name just a FEW of the things we, as hip hop fans, are grateful for…

Thank you T.I. for flipping the script. Getting popped on federal weapons charges and turning it into a year-long promotional tour for your album, you are a true pimp.

We are thankful for Lil Wayne proving that there is NOT such a thing as too much. Thank you Weezy F. Baby for providing us with a seamlessly never ending amount of new music while keeping us wanting more. Let’s not forget your arrests and court appearances in between your cancelled shows, but we know that’s all bullshit. An no one can forget going platinum in one week, you are the original bling hot boy!

We are thankful for all the innovations in music that not only help create new great music but also help to give us things to laugh at like the overuse of Auto-Tune.

Thank you 50 Cent for never being one to hold your tongue and constantly starting new beefs, without you we wouldn’t have some of this past years’ biggest stories. While we are at it, the few members left in G-Unit should be thankful for not being kicked out. What up Buck?

Thank you DMX for being one of our favorite rappers growing up and now providing new arrest and legal headlines to fill our news feeds with. A true Ruff Ryder.

Kanye, thank you for being a truly unique artist. Between your many blog posts and your fights with the Paparazzi we have plenty to balance out the great music you provide to music fans.

Thank you God for giving Travis Barker and DJ AM the ability to jump out of that jet so we didn’t lose two great contributors to hip hop music.

Ice T and Soulja Boy, thank you for providing us with a very entertaining YouTube video war although we think Ice should stick to Law & Order so SB can go back to inventing dances. Bird Walk WHAT!

Thank you Paul Wall and Chamillionaire for ending your beef and re-uniting to ensure another year of great Houston rap music, keep it chopped & screwed!

Rick Ross we didn’t forget about you. We are grateful for your huge correctional officer scandal. Even though you totally denied that was you in that picture, the almighty smoking gun helped clear the air. Stay up though, it makes no difference. You are still the BOSS!

On another note, our love and prayers go out to the families of Pimp C, MC Breed, Dr. Donde West, Bernie Mack, Issac Hayes, Xzibit’s new born son, Chris Baker, Charles Stills and everyone else we couldn’t remember half awake before bed. You will all be missed.

Finally we are grateful for the many things to come. From hip hop’s newest and most promising rappers to new albums from Eminem, 50 and Dre, we are truly excited. The three-headed monster is coming!

It’s time for turkey... PS- Please don’t hate on our list, as our brother Proof used to say, we are just trying to “Keep Hip Hop Aliiiiiiiiive!

Albert Einstein arrives at a party and introduces himself to the first
person he sees (Italian) and asks,"What is your IQ?" to which the man

"That is wonderful!" says Albert. "We will talk about the Grand
Unification Theory and the mysteries of the Universe. We will have much
to discuss!"

Next Albert introduces himself to a woman (English) and asks, "What is
your IQ?"
To which the lady answers,"144."
"That is great!" responds Albert. "We can discuss politics and current
affairs. We will have much to discuss!"

Albert goes to another person and asks,
"What is your IQ?" to which the man answers,"51."
Albert responds,

Rapper Snoop Dogg recently left the recording studio, recording tracks for Dr. Dre's highly anticipated album, Detox. "That record is real it's coming," Snoop Dogg said during an interview today (June 25) on Big Boy's Neighborhood. Snoop Dogg confirmed the fabled, decade-long project was finished and that the Doctor was selecting tracks for the album.

Dr. Dre will also sit in the producer's seat for Snoop Dogg's upcoming album.

"Yea he's doing my next album. I got the title and everything," Snoop confirmed without revealing the album's title.

In related news, Snoop recently released a country-themed video for his single "My Medicine," which features a westernized Snoop alongside Willie Nelson, Julianne Hough, Brad Paisley and others.

The song is taken from Snoop Dogg's latest album Ego Trippin'.

Chief Rocka - Open Mic / BOOK OF LIES
« on: June 19, 2008, 08:49:10 AM »
They say words can never hurt you, hers cut me deep,
That's why what's bleeding on this page is much more then ink,
I thought I could change her clearly I didn't think,
I was fooled to believe that I was the cause of it,
But I was just a pawn in a twisted game of deceit,
Its like buying a faulty tv but throwing away the receipt,
Now take that feeling and multiply it by infinity,
Maybe then you can realise that this is really killing me,
The situation left me all drained lost and confused,
Did this really happen could I really be used?
I saw this coming but I chose to close my eyes,
Its like being told you going to die but must still act surprised,
I guess my stupidity will be my only demise,
For I knew what was contained in that book of lies,
I felt the anger building as I turned each page,
May the heavens protect you RUTHLESS been let out he's cage,
Success will be my only revenge Ima show her ill make it,
I was her last ticket out she was dumb enough to not take it!!!!
