General Discussion / Blaklez VS A.K.A
« on: July 28, 2009, 09:43:58 AM »
What's good? A.K.A called himself the best rapper in SA a few weeks ago. Had a chance to chat with him when he came to PTA to record with N'Veigh and we decided to record a joint each going against each other. We'll record on the same beat(Ja Rule's New York beat) and see which one bangs harder. You'll hear the joints soon.

Sports Arena / Who was that in the Arsenal kit?

I don’t know the team that played against United last night. They wore the right colours but played the wrong football.  Where was Arsenal? That was supposed to be a humdinger. Instead, we were subjected to watching a dud after about 10 minutes. I’m sure even the neutrals would’ve been upset with Arsenal for not entertaining. We were thoroughly beaten over two legs. We hardly ever looked like scoring at our home ground. Ronaldo, Carrick, Anderson and Park dominated us (poor Cesc fighting by himself against two central midfielders). We need two new defenders and a quality defensive midfielder. No more buying youngsters, we’ve got enough of them. A bit of experience please Arsene.  We can no longer afford to groom youngsters for other teams (they always leave us). I’m afraid there might be a major exodus at the end of the season. Van Persie, Adebayor and Fabregas will certainly be tempted. I doubt we’ll keep them. We did well to get to the semis but lost to a team that played with more purpose and guile. Honestly though, if Man U wins the league and Champs league, then that means Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal were all in the same boat. We all played catch-up to United.

General Discussion / Hip hop media

Don't know if this has been discussed yet but don't some of you feel like SA needs one or two more hip hop magazines (nationwide)? I reckon that would keep everyone on their toes and publications might be forced to improve if there's competition. Just worries me that we only have one hip hop magazine. It's getting to a point where most rappers are at Hype's mercy because there are no alternatives, and that's not a good thing. The standard of journalism (allround) in hip hop will improve if there is competition between publications. Question is, are there publishing companies willing to invest in such an idea?

What pressed you to keep performing when it was clear that you were being sabotaged at Baseline? At times your lips were moving but there was no sound. I think I saw you shrug your shoulders on some 'oh well'. You're a big artist in your own right and a lot of kids look up to you. In fact, in some's eyes, you've been an excellent amba**ador for hip hop. I was surprised that you allowed yourself to continue on stage when there was hardly any sound. Funny that sound got better when other acts came on. I understand it might be because the organisers paid you but I would've been encouraged to see you take a stand. I thought you'd walk off but when you stayed on I thought, 'there goes hip hop. If they could treat Pro like that, what will they do to a talented wordsmith from Sebokeng, Mamelodi, etc'?

Please sell Gallas and Senderos and buy us a striker that will convert all the chances that Adebayor refuses to convert. It would also be nice if you bought a central defender. Oh, and we wouldnt mind if either Toure or Cesc were to be made captain. We like them, they put the team first. We would rather not have a sulky frenchman as our captain. And why on earth is he wearing the number 10 shirt? I bet Dennis Bergkamp cant bear to watch Arsenal games anymore (watching his number waste away must be painful). Also threaten Van Persie if you can. Let him know that he's exceeded his injury limit and we expect him to stay fit until he leaves Arsenal Football Club. Oh, and Rosicky's got one month to get fit or he'll have to get on the pitch with his crutches. That'll be all. Wait... One more thing... You've got two more seasons to win us the league and the champions league. Should you fail to deliver, kindly hand in your resignation. While we acknowledge your ability to develop youngsters, it must be said that you dont develop them for Arsenal. Most of them will end up playing for Barca and Real Madrid (just like Cesc will next season should we fail to win the league or champs league). I think that's not too much to ask. We think you'll deliver. Goodluck!

Ertugral- 'Sundowns have a few extra skills that we dont have. If you've seen their previous games you would've noticed one of their attacking midfielders deliver a clinical flying kick on a Supersport United player. I think Mabizela displayed his boxing skills in the same game. We might struggle to match them in those areas but we will definitely be able to match them football wise. The ref will have to work hard on the day'. Muhsin is on a rampage these days. This will get ugly.

Mattheu Flamini is on his way to AC Milan. Juventus were also in the running but the Rosaneri offered a better deal. Wonder who'll be next to leave. Hleb? Fabregas? Arsenal are becoming a shopping centre for bigger teams. If we dont start winning trophies we'll keep losing our top players. That's just unfortunately how it goes.

So if this dude's gone then that means Bafana are in serious trouble. The 2010 dream is starting to crumble before we even get to 2010.
