Humour / Jokes / Mokoena is screwing Kagiso's bitch
« on: March 28, 2011, 09:27:20 AM »
Check this article from Sunday World

Quote
While Bafana Bafana midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi was jumping over his opponents’ feet on the field, his ex-teammate Aaron Mokoena was allegedly jumping the bones of his girlfriend, Thabang Modise.

It is alleged the two have been seeing each other behind Dikgacoi’s back for a while now.

Mokoena is married to Jwalane.

News that Mokoena and Modise did the horizontal came to the fore when the two were seen getting lovey-dovey at Cocoon restaurant in Sandton on Wednesday.

“From there they went to the Raddison Blue Hotel, where they spent the night together,” says our source, who asked not to be named.

It is alleged that Mokoena left in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

After their tryst they exchanged SMSes, which were leaked to Sunday World.

They read, in part:

Thabang: hey sexy, u vukile? (are you up)

‘Me’ (Aaron): hey love. Yes I’m up. U looked beautiful last night. Couldn’t take my eyes off you.

Thabang: thank you, u ddnt luk bad urslf.

Me: thnx baby, but the part I liked the most was the love making afterwards. U good, u very good. But next time we should get CD’s ok. I hate taking the risk we took.

Thabang: yebo Gogo, I heard you loud and clear. Will never get us into trouble. So relax.

Me: I can only relax if and when you tell me u got the pill.

Thabang: okay okay okay, I dnt want a brat either. I’m gonna go get them now. L8r.

Me:l8r baby, I got a Bafana press conference tomoro. Wish me luck.

When asked about her affair with Mokoena, Modise said: “I can’t confirm or deny anything.

“You are journalist doing your job.

“Whoever gave you that is their problem because what is happening between me and Aaron or Kagisho has nothing to do with them or with you.”

Attempts to solicit comment from Mokoena drew a blank.

He promised to talk to us after his press conference in Sandton on Friday.

“I’m rushing into a meeting. Please call me after an hour,” he said.

When we called him on the cellphone number he gave us it was answered by a woman who works for his foundation.

“I’m in a meeting. Can’t talk,” she said.

We sent her an SMS, to which she replied: “Hi, apologies I have been in meetings all afternoon. Aaron is now in the studio till late and I’m no longer with him.”

We tried to phone Mokoena on his international number, but it rang unanswered.

He ignored the SMS we sent him.

Dikgacoi could not be reached as he was in camp for last night’s match.

General Discussion / Mutton Curry recipe
« on: November 30, 2010, 02:56:33 PM »
Im trying this meal for a date tonight :)

Which wine would you guys recommend?

4.4 lb/2 kg mutton (shoulder), cut into chunks
2 tbsp ghee (or regular butter)
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
 green chilli, finely chopped
 1 tbsp ground coriander
1/2 can chopped tomatoes (or ripe summer tomatoes)
1 small onion, cut into rings
 1 tbsp caraway seeds
 1 tbsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric
 1 tbsp sea salt
3 large potatoes, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces

South African Mutton Curry Directions

   1. Brown the mutton in the ghee in a large soup pot over a medium heat.
   2. Add garlic and ginger and allow the flavours to mingle with the mutton for a minute or two.
   3. Quickly add remaining ingredients, except for the potatoes. Make sure it doesn't burn at the bottom.
   4. Cover with water. The water should just cover the top of the meat.
   5. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the meat is tender (2-3 hours) and the sauce has reduced. If it threatens to cook dry before the meat is sufficiently tender, just add a bit more water.
   6. Add the potatoes towards the end. The dish is done when the potatoes are cooked.

General Discussion / S.A Kwaito\House DJ are eating
« on: October 28, 2010, 10:54:17 AM »
The Mbaus of this world should look no further than local DJs if BEE moguls frown upon them.

Our investigations reveal that local DJs are accumulating as much wealth as their BEE counterparts.

A music promoter who regularly books club DJs reveals that DJ Cleo is the most expensive in the country, charging a fee of R15000 for an hour’s performance. Gigs usually last one hour but can be extended pending negotiations.

The latest BMW X5 and a bevy of other road monsters are testimony that DJ Cleo, who gets a minimum of five gigs a month, is well-heeled.

The promoter says DJ Fresh is the second most expensive, charging R13000 per hour.

He drives, among others, a Jeep and Mercedes Benz ML63 with the personalised registration number Dawg-GP. DJ Sbu and Glen Lewis lie in third place, with performance fees of R12000.

Sbu drove a Porsche and gloated about buying himself an Aston Martin. Glen Lewis tootles around in a Hu mmer.

DJ Euphonik is fourth placed at R11000. He “pushes” an Audi A3 and Mini Cooper – among others.

Black Coffee is said to be fifth at R10000 a shot. He drives, among other cars, a 4x4 and a CLK Merc. He is on the same level as DJ Tira and Fistaz Mixwell. Fistaz drives a Maserati and DJ Tira cruises in the latest Chrysler sedan.

They are followed by DJs Kent, Ganyani and Clock at R9000 per hour.

Kent drives an Audi A3, while Clock has a Golf5 to show for his efforts. Ganyani owns a 2002 BMW while DJ Choice owns a BMW 1 Series.

The promoter says Mahoota, Christos and Oskido are the cheapest big names, with a performance fee of R5000.

Da Vinci drives a BMW X5, Mahoota a Porsche Carrera and Oskido a Mercedes-Benz sedan.

It is not known what Christos drives.

“This is a lucrative industry and is gonna be more so in the coming years ,” says the promoter, who cannot be named.

DJ Cleo says: “What I charge is a confidential matter between me and my client.”

His sentiments were echoed by other DJs contacted for comment. Sbu’s business partner Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza refused to comment and referred us to Sanele Dlamini, who wouldn’t comment.

Glen Lewis says his fixed rate is R12000, though this varies from one promoter to another.

“It also depends on the date, sound and atmosphere of the place you are going to work at.

“For instance, I cannot work for anything less than R20000 on New Year’s Eve or Christmas Day.”

He says the Hummer he drives is a sponsored car.

Oskido says he doesn’t have a fixed rate: “The idea is not to grow yourself only but other people as well. Many promoters are struggling, so you can’t just go there and charge them exorbitant fees.”

You feel like you are on top of the world when you are on the 13th floor of the Radisson Hotel on Rivonia Road, Sandton.

This is where Jozi’s newest lounge bar, Zar, is situated – and it is arguably the most expensive in the country.

It is owned by rugby player Ashwin Willemse, Malcolm X, Gayton McKenzie and Kenny Kunene.

McKenzie and Kunene have transformed themselves into instant millionaires after being incarcerated in jail not so long ago.

Here, as director and marketing manager Malcolm X puts it, “the News Café and Wimpy crowd” is prohibited.

Malcolm says they are at the top because they are with top people. “We selected this place out of many for strategic reasons,” he says.

Zar is where folk with deep pockets make deals and spend serious money.

Here you can expect to pay top Zuid Afrikaanse Rand. What you fork out for a tot of 50-year-old Glenfiddich whisky will not be a whisper at all, it will be a loud bang at R15000, or almost R500000 for the entire bottle!

“We stock exclusive brands and are happy to be the only South African black-owned bar that hosts kings and queens – and provides the standards they are used to,” says Malcolm X.

From Zar the skyline stretches in all directions.

Among the sights is Alexandra, home to more than 500000 of the poorest of the poor.

“B efore you talk of waste and how many people could benefit from half a million, let me tell you that a lot of the people who come here are employers,” Malcolm says.

“Zar is a premium networking venue – people hang out here, but also do business, which benefits many people.”

Of course, that includes government big shots from Zimbabwe and Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan, who came for a party.

“ We hosted Patrick Vieira’s birthday party, Prince Albert and Princess Caroline of Spain were here… so were Arsene Wenger and Luis Figo,” says Malcolm.

“And we pay well too,” he says. “Our waiters, who work a maximum three days a week, earn more than you and many other professionals.”
