peace Universal, i been using fl studio for a munite, does the slicer work well in fl8 coz i cant use it on fl7. the sound is kinda choppy. but its been working well in previous versions.

Yes it does and I haven't encountered any issues so far. Yes they have added Slicex which is sort of like a combination of Edison and the Slicer. You can use it to sample, but I rather use SoundForge. What I usually do is, when done with a beat in FL, I take my separates and work on the same project in Adobe Audition.

So, even if the sample sounds choppy I can still make it better in AU

Yes there are usually minor changes between the FL releases e.g. Edison and SliceX with the latter being included with 8 but wasn't with 7.

To FL haters, the software you use is not so important especially when the beats I made with FL are way better than the most I've heard from a couple of cats using Reason. Anyway, 9th Wonder and Khrysis use FL and only now have Khrysis bought an MPC and he's using it with FL! Yes, I can also use Reason (sometime) but am more in love with FL (my personal favorite).

Otherwise, good work dude. I feel the "Never Cry" beat more than the first one, but wouldn't drop on it though.

I guess freedom of speech is just a myth then in South Africa. Yeah we're going through some racial tish, but that's not new... so what's wrong with a brother expressing his views, isn't this why hip hop is an art form. I'm not gonna argue with anyone, but whether or not I'm signed by a major or just pushing my own thing, at the end of the day the rest of the country needs to know how we feel as artists, and the constitution gives us a freedom of speech or so they say.

Why didn't the guy who shot a black man in a farm and excused himself by saying that he thought he (the black guy) was a monkey/baboon not in prison serving a life sentence. Why are the kids who shot and participated in that UFS video not prosecuted as of yet. And  I wonder WTF is up in South Africa!!!!!

This is just another boere k@k... I'm sorry but this is some "Bull Shit" like Qwazaar would say, feel me.

I have been using FL Studio for quite sometime now, actually in conjunction with Reason 3 with the latter being used as a Rewire* client... Reason users should know what goodies that app has, so I use all the greatness of Reason with FL Studio 8 RC2. When downloading FL Studio 8 and get a crack there's date trick you gotta do to make it Producer Edition .
Anyway, holla at your boy and I'll mail you the crack and let you know how to activate it.

ReArrangedReality, I used to get beats from you back day... and have used one with my former crew (We killed it at Drum Cafe with your beat, you should know by now who I am )... sujampisa mpintsh' yam lol

Maybe for you man, I don't wanna make this a Naymbz VS Universal thread, like you said I'm entitled to my opinion and you to yours.

Otherwise, I stand my ground because whether you love it or hate it, the consumer doesn't care much about how dope the mastering/mixing of someones album is as long as they feel it. Maybe all the best sellers are dope mastered albums  the Billboard Chart toppers included.

NOTE: I'm by no means saying that an album's mastering is not important, I'm sure you get my point.

Honestly I don't give two flying ducks whose album is mixed and mastered the dopest, the most important thing is how much money do these cats make off they albums, mixtapes etc.

Y'all can argue all you want, the average man on the street... at least the consumer doesn't care whose album is mastered better than whose because it's irrelevant when it comes to sales.

This is a crappy thread... no f***ing point at all. Y'all gonna brag about what you think is dope and what's not, rubbish... piece of crap if you ask me.
