This place is really looking like a ghost town these days.

Check out my record collection here, and let me know if we can exchange tunes.

My HAWKS will choke as usual,...  :( I think OKC will win the title this year, as much as I don't like them, they are playing well, and have a healthy squad, but who knows the playoffs always have surprises...

It's nice, but why is it only on the left half of the screen, and not the full screen?

Yes, I think it is deliberate... whether they are affiliated with the lodge I don't know, but I do know there are hip-hop related offices in the lodge on 23rd street in Manhattan.

Oh yeah, here is Sarasa's Halloween costume from last year! Thought it was too damn fresh not to share it! Probably my favorite costume I've ever seen!

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy, SARASA is definitely one funky fresh chick!  ;D

This CD recently came to my attention, and I wanted to share my discovery with the fam on AG.  ;)

DJ SARASA (former DMC Japan finalist) released a Mix-CD in conjunction with the Kwanzaa Clothing Store in Shibuya (Tokyo) and DJ Honda Recordings.

Kwanzaa is a hip-hop clothing store with an Afrocentric touch reminiscent of the Native Tongue days of hip-hop, and to commemorate Afro-centricity in hip-hop they collaborated with DJ SARASA to release a Mix-CD featuring a lot of African hip-hop artists from Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Rwanda, South Africa, Canada, Japan and the United States.

The CD was released on DJ Honda's label a day prior to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan last year.

Below is a picture of the actual release, tracklist, and a link where it can be purchased in case anyone here would like to order a copy from Japan.  8)

Group stages are almost over, just curious as to who you think will win the cup, or who you will be rooting for in the knockout stages..

General Discussion / Re: Vanilla Ice
« on: January 18, 2012, 06:31:45 PM »
Well, Vanilla Ice produced dance rap records, that were hip in the pop charts in the early nineties, similar to Wreckx n effect, MC Hammer and so on, which was fine, I think what really got to people was how he had lied about being from the hood in Miami, when he was actually from the well off side of town, this offended a lot of people. In my neighborhood a lot of the b-boys used to like Ice because he came from a dancing background, and wasn't bad at it, all that didn't matter though after he was exposed as a big fat faker. It's whatever really...
