voted in by the people and somehow they become money hungry capitalist bastards lets look at the situation of our country people are living in shit conditions while our new masters steal millions of rands put people in powerful positions thats all part of this inner circle of tyrants......our new masters who aint concerned bout the people but about money the new slavetrade 2005 the hwole shit evolved from race to economics

Strong words Rush.

Anyway, for me the most disappointing thing has been the government's response to the protests -sending the National Intelligence Agency to investigate wheteher there are any sinister forces behind the protests. It's unblievabl;e that this government would do something like that. Sending spooks to poor communities. People are just losing patience & very unsatisfied with the poor service delivery & corruption that's currently taking place. Some councillors are nothing more than self-serving & people are tired of that. The communities involved in these protests, be it in the Eastern Cape or Free Strate, are living in inumane conditions with no basic services like sanitation, shelter, etc. Yet many many gvt departments fail to spend their budgets year in year out. That's ridiculous.

Jason (Hope I got his name right. He's from Cape Town and is doing beats for Metabolism upcoming album)

Is that Jason from Gugulethu? He also loves basketball. If it's him i didn't know that he makes beats.

The name that he uses is Dragon. Apparently he does not like to be called Dre but the name has stuck to him now. He is dope producer. Whenever I here new beats from him, i feel really bad about mine. He F@#cking talented man.

Dre's beats are ill. The 5th floor song he did is called Kreation - it was also on the Harambe dope Sessions album (track 2). Koriander & camo are also tight on vocals. I think these guys are among Mzantsi's most  underrated emcees.

Kenzhero also made tracks for 5fth floor. Would love to hear more tracks produced by him. I know that as a DJ, he's on top, very advanced style, you can tell that he knows his music & very open minded.

Having listened to the albums of both Pro's, i dont think many people can disagree with me when I say Pro KID beats Pro Verb hands down. Pro Kid is much more versatile & original. if ever there was any debate about this their debut albums should settle the debate. Pro Kid is just in a league of his own.

I bought the album & I'm dissapointed. I just had the belief that with Hoodlum up in there it will be tight. It's just too jiggy for my liking , but probably good for the clubs.

The track Senzeni is really tight. Besides that I enjoyed 2 other tracks.

[/quote]any body kno where LIFE FORCEZ be?

The last time I heard about Life Forces they were in Cape Town. Phura is either in CT / JHB/ East London.

I can't tell you who's the best but the following are tight:

Kaptain (think of the track Casualties of Raw)

Hoodlum (the track Kung Fu on that Hype CD) I have to say that the Hidden Force album did not impress me.

Omen - damn the tracks he did for Pro KId including SOWETO & Woz'obona

Nyambz because he'll see this thread & hate everyone who doesn't mention him. Kidding. Very talented.  Just think of the remix of Zubz's Superstar. much better than the original. Microphone Sweet Home shows that he can also make the mellow/ laid back beats although I still love his banging beats (e.g. Stick & move)

Blakk from the Nyphonic Bastards of the Universe - peole should look out for him both as an eMcee & producer.

Battlekat's tight although he can sound too monotonous @ times. maybe not monotonous, it may be because of a distict sound. I can always recognise a BattleKat beat, just like a premo beat can be recognised in 10 seconds.

Gemin & Draztik did a good job on African Raw material.

He has done tracks with optical illusion. (definitive - track 6). He was also feautured by another emcee( not sure but i think its Kaydo)

Heavy 8 on Zubz's album. track 8, second verse.

Finally got a copy.

It's a good album, but I was not carried away. Maybe I had huge expectations after knowing Pro trough tracks like Soweto & P.R.O K.I.D.. I find that it's these tracks that really rock. maybe after more  listening I'll discover more gems. Besides those tracks I like the tracks produced by Draztik & Nyambz & OMEn - the ba**line on Woz uZobona is tight.

Maybe working with too many producers is not always a good thing. Gallo should not interfere too much with the work of eMcees - one gets the feeling that they had this beauty contest approach of callling producers to submit beats, lining them up & then choosing which beats were good.

nevertheless,  an album worth having.

Also agree that the artwork sucks, you can hardly read & follow the sleeve.

The Virgin by metamoforces.

The village anthem – shorty skillz & loko. Shorty skillz was tight. I heard that he’ll be dropping something as part of WitchKraft with Kanife from BMP. Can’t wait.

The Mic Device with Snazz

Skillz by Amu & township frequency

Not a cla**ic album but played its role in advancing J Sec hip hop / SA hip hop.
