Am I wrong or is this guy the illest producer/rapper dude. That track 'Albany' is the sickness. Im even willing to go out on a limb and
say that 9th, Pete Rock and even Dilla aint got shit on dude. I heard Dillas 'Donuts' and honestly I thought he could come iller. I copped this
before I went to Bloem for DC holidays and while Im listening
Im figurin.. this guy actually plays his ba**lines like notes... then he goes
and kills me on 'Say Sumthin' when he asks 'how'd he get the ba** to sound like that?'... Im loving that Lowbudget shit...

This nig tells me that he got the new Bozza and My Man album from sum record exec guy. Then he proceeds to tell me that the Bozza album is the most terrible thing he ever heard. Now I find myself afraid to even ilsten to it. Has anyone heard it? And if so... is it as bad as everyone says?

"If you had a choice of doing what you do now for free and working a 9 to 5, or getting paid to do bubblegum rap for labels, what would you do?"

(silence) WOW, you left me NOOO room (silence) (The answer has been stricken from the record!! Secret Answer. Sorry folks, he said it can't leave the room!!!)...

Ok.. These dudes were like.. my all time fave emcees to never come out.
First time I heard them they were still called '2 Face' and I had this Rasta Root mixtape back in high school with a track of the same name. A friend lost it and my life has never been the same. This was back in '98.
Apparently they had a deal on Tommy Boy back in the 90's but it evaporated somehow. Mr Vodoo, A-Butta, L-Swift, Charlamagne and they had this girl riding with them @ some stage.. dont remember her name though.

If anyone knows where I can get the tracks 'S.H.I.N.E', 'Live It Up', '2 Tons', 'Be Like That', 'Triboro', 'Lyrical Tactics' I'll be eternally grateful and my life can continue normally again.

All I got now is the stuff off the Lyricist Lounge with the Diaz Brothers and 'May Day'. I also got the 'Bust Mine' and some other track off the DJ Enuff shit.

"My intellect be sharp like lances in medieval times/Evil swine let light shine to lead my people blind/But I read inbetween the lines and ease your mind at easin' time/So kick back and relax like after a seat's reclined" — "Be Like That."

'I'm maximal you minimal/ Stolen African mineral/ Ill with the literal…/ When you hear it you'll/ get hysterical/ for you to beat me, it's gonna take a mirical/… see I've been dumb lyrical ever since they cut my umbilical/ so me being wack? That's not applicable…' "Lyrical Tactics "

Yesterday I was @ Oppikoppi and I had the pleasure of hearing this young lady doing her thing. To say that I was impressed is a mild understatement. Somebody better hurry up and sign her. And give her a lot of money while they're at it ....cause Im willing to place bets that she iz pound-for-pound the best female vocalist in the country right now.
Reminds me of Amel Larrieux somehow... flawless vocals. I hear she's doing trackx with Nyambz but I wanna know where I can get bootleg copies of anything that shes done. When I asked her when her stuffs coming out she said in a while... but the anticepation is killing me..

Hot Traxxx / Jedi Minds
« on: July 22, 2005, 06:23:21 PM »
Hey.. does anyone know where I can get a holda the first Jedi Minds called 'The Psycho-Social-Chemical- Biological-and-Electromagnetic Manipulation of Human Consciousness'? Or more specifically that track 'Chinese Water Torture'....

I had that shit for the longest until some knucklehead phuknut jacket it from me. Then I had the misfortune of just missing a Jedi Minds show while I was in Chicago once... eish!! Plus Raekwon was performing as well..

I dunno I think Stoupe is one of the iller dudes out. Plus I hear they're producing another CanIBus album...

Holla if u know...

The same request goes if anyone knows where I an get a holda the Poor Righteous Teachers.. (dont know when it was released but this is positively one of the doooooopest albums ever)...

What it iz...

Just an official word on whatup with 5th cats. The album 'Attention to Detail' is out and available in JHB and CT. I see contact details were added on a previous post. Just to recap.. in JHB call Camo on 0834315816 in CT call Snipa on 0847905777. Alternatively those in Jozi can check the Y Shoppe and CT peep out Greenmarket square (good look there slicin, thuli, Scissorhand, merchant, Blaque_Poetess, Sensai_Tate)... To add 2 ur point mulmens..'If you kats want airplay then you should work on distribution and marketing.'... U wouldn't beleive the amount of work and funding required for that and being that we're not tryin to be on some corporates nuts... Good thingz come to those who wait... good look though regardless. The album itself is an accumulation of stuff we've been doin for the past couple so expect the next installment soon..

On that... look out for the new Dr Badela album coming out thru Seamless. To keep you posted.. Koriander has an album ready, Kilograms solo is done, the emceeKasualT solo is near completion and titled 'Dont Quit ur Day Job', Camo album is ten plus tracks deep and we're currently recording the Sketch album in JHB. Look out for some tracks on the next Hype Sessions CD, a feature snipet in the next Hype issue and for those who caught it there was some interview on Street Journal and a Rage.co.za interview is tentative. So.. we are tryin all independent avenue to come through for you.

On another note.. Look out for emceeKasualT featured on the BVK album 'Yskoud'.. some unreleased Mr Devious trax (if u can get ur hands on 'em), the compilation 'Steps to the Future', and yes Ready D's 'Not for the faint hearted' too. The new POC album 'Stealth Bombers' is in the process too. An unreleased version of the Imbumba track featuting myself Timbuktu, Ranto and Promo of LoopTroop will be on my album as well. Slik from Skwatta's working on a mix tape and if all goes well look out for a track featuring myself, Camo and Gemini.
