Method Man is struggling right now, just like everybody else. The tax man just payed him a visit and took his Navigator as payment:

    The tax man paid an early morning (6am!) visit to Method Man and repo’d his 2008 Lincoln Navigator for $52,000.00 in unpaid income tax.

Damn, all you kids trying to get into Hip-Hop should take notice. This guy was one of the hottest artists in the 90’s, now look at him. Good luck Meth, we are rooting for you.

I just read a very interesting story about some dudes who used to be in the music biz. Basically it indicated that the Recession is very real. So... Im a**uming many more stories like this will come thru in the next few months/years.. So go head and post your recession related stories here...



And 3 members of Soul 4 Real have been indicted on 145 counts of Aggravated Identity Fraud
.  WTF??  I don’t know who’s who anymore but Duluth, GA police say that Brian Dalyimple’s brothers (and fellow group members), Jason Dalyrimple and Andre Dalyrimple will all be indicted.

33 year old Brian was arrested on suspicion of identity fraud earlier this month after somebody reported $12 g’s thanks to fraudulent purchases.  According to the PD:

 

     “[We also found] a multitude of fraudulently obtained credit cards,” said Major Woodruff of Duluth PD, “documents for bank loans, checking and savings accounts in fraudulent names, account and routing numbers belonging to legitimate accounts and documents containing identifying information of many individuals.”

 

They just needed some candy coated raindrops to get them through the day.  This recession is getting real real for these 90’s stars. © YBF

I saw Maggz perform at 88 a few weeks ago.. and I gotta say.. I was mildly dissapointed.. Maybe it had more to do with shitty sound, but it didnt translate the same energy as his recorded material...

Either way. Dude is nice with his. I been hearing some good reports abouts Jozi's trip out to Panama .. so maybe then we can get a good reflection of what it is that Americans really think about American sounding SA hip-hop...

well... this event will not be taking place under the aforementioned auspices. I heard its canned as far as Party People/ Oppikoppi are concerned...

On a side note.. I was chillin at 88 on Friday with this ninja DJ Romz Deluxe and we were randomly discussing this shit.. when I was like.. 'My boys are looking to put this show on'... he was like... 'yeah well, my boys got 300 g's for Slum'.. so I kinda got an insight into who this mystery promoter is although he wouldnt say much more after that...

OH well.. It was a good idea while it lasted..

Apparently the request to the Bootkamp has been extended already..
but Buckshot wants $10 000 dollars to do a show... for dolo..
so you can imagine what the whole group would cost..


And theres a shady promoter causing the Slum dates to be unconfirmed. Theres some 'unknown' guy who has offered Slum in the region of R300 000 to come to SA, but the problem is... no one knows this dude.. and they would obviously like to come for a higher price.. so Im still waiting to hear what will happen with that..
